  1. Past hour
  2. @sirchunksalot good to hear they sorted the issue with the car and hopefully it won’t be too expensive. Do you know where you got the gas from? Anyway of claiming the cost back from them? Hope it’s back on the road soon
  3. @SDunne that’s great to hear. I found the alignment aid much more beneficial than the traditional 2D. I also had an Odyssey 2 ball previously and find it a lot easier to line up putts with the Runner The Runner, to me, seems to be far more consistent when judging distance and is definitely meaning less 3 putts. It seems to be a similar experience for you with managing no 3 putts! Let’s hope it continues
  4. Interesting exercise - all my clubs I've either had fitted or taken real care over their selection with testing / borrowing friends clubs etc, but my wedges are straight from the 'clearance bin' at American Golf!
  5. So having come across my monkey themed ball marker I also found the same design on a glove. Obviously I had to have it and gotta say not only does it look great but is a quality glove. Really soft leather, great feel and fits perfectly. Think it might now become my go to glove
  6. @Northern Monkey while it took a bit to figure out how much force to use, I feel I can replicate it well and gaining a true understanding of what I'm doing has been good with it. I was consistently putting it a foot or two past the hole when going for it. I think I only left two short all day and both were me being scared of the down slope. For true lag putts where I was just aiming for there or there about today was a bad round to judge on as smallish greens and as you'll see from my GIR I was missing a few which meant chipping onto the green and thankfully that part of my game is improving as well! I definitely love the 3d alignment aid. My old.putter was a 2ball Odyssey so I feel having a bold line is helping me. I use the alignment aids on my balls and bringing the two together works well for my eye and how my process works. Having it so prominent helps my focus I'm finding.
  7. Not sure about the V5 but the X5 shows your score vs par in the top left corner during a round. The his is just displayed as a number, +5 etc
  8. @SDunne Great that you feel the Runner is improving your game and inspiring more confidence in your putting. Did you find that the putter makes your lag putts easier to judge? Do you feel that the alignment aid being 3D was more beneficial than the typical 2D alignment aid on a putter? Im interesting to hear your comments on these to be able to compare to my experience of the Runner
  9. Good morning everyone and happy Friday! I finally heard something on my car, after I had to reach out to the dealership. They told me the problem was caused by bad gas and they were going to have to clean the lines and replace the fuel pump. They them informed me I needed to make a claim with fleet response which turned into a 30 minute ordeal of answering all kinds of questions causing me to miss the first half of the community call. The part of the call I got to listen to was great and it made for good listening as I was doing yard work. I got most of it done and I'll finish up the trimming today or tomorrow. I hope it's a good start to the weekend for y'all!
  10. Good morning all, it’s Friday and the last of my 7 duty days Lovely sunny warm start to the day here so hoping it stays that way and I can get some golf in at last. @Samuel09152 good news about the dog glad it’s nothing too serious @GolfSpy_KFT Glad to hear the good news about the little one Hope you all have a great day and ease nicely into the weekend
  11. Roughly 10 -15,which or new to nearly new and the rest are finds and old balls for practice in short game area putting green and the weekly 9hole mess around.
  12. I have always worn beanies, just for warmth. I want to wear a baseball cap but sometimes at full draw my string touch the bill. So Im trying to make a baseball cap work, because I would however like to keep the sun out of my eyes and use one of these little little you can clip on the underside of the bill. Maybe a brimmed beanie is for me???
  13. Today
  14. 8 srixon xv yellows 4 q star yellow 8 taylormade tour response 3 callaway diablo and a pro v. wind, temperature, green and ball striking during the round decides the switch. i start with the srixon xv yellow if i am hitting well this is my stay ball.
  15. Date 04/26/2024 Course Name Marina Bay Golf Course Gross Score 87 Course Handicap 14 Gross Strokes over/under par 15 Net Score to Par 1 Net Score 73 Net Birdies or better 0 Longest Drive 0 (Marina Bay White Tees 68.9 /121) Nice to start posting on VCT again! Today was a scorching hot day here in Singapore. We are trying to cram as many rounds in at our only public 18 before it's shut down at the end of June. After that, we can only hope more tee times are made available at a semi-private course. Today I tested out my friend's KZG irons to replace my Sterling single-lengths. I think I might have to go back to regular clubs. the driver was a little more erratic than usual, but the irons saved the day, putting me within striking distance every time. Just need to tighten up the putting. (Sharing a photo of the only Par 6 in Southeast Asia!)
  16. Morning one and all! Days are busy at the moment with a project in the shop, seasonal chores, with one eye on the NFL Draft, and the other on golf. Next week weather predictions are looking pretty good, so perhaps I can finally get summer tires on the car. Oh, and get in a round or two of golf. Have a good one.
  17. I managed to grab a PXG Gen 5 X driving iron for pennies. I'm assuming this is an ex-fitting head. The plan is to have this head and a PXG 3 hybrid head, swapping a shaft between the two depending on the course/conditions. But I need some help...couple of questions for those much more knowledgeable on this kind of stuff than me (which will be literally all of you!) - 1. the shaft screw is smaller than normal, as in, I cannot unscrew it with a normal PXG torque wrench; is this normal for fitting heads? Do the fitters have their own tool? (I have found a head/screwdriver combo that fits, so I can screw/unscrew it, just curious 2. it seems to have ferrule (metal), but suspect that this is there 'for display' and can be removed when a shaft is ready to be inserted; anyone know how to get this ferrule out? (guessing this is linked to the screw in question 1). I can probably loosen the screw completely then give it a pull with some pliers, but don't want to damage it if it's meant to be there! 3. the black back circular weight is loose, and needs tightening before using. The weight looks like it accepts a torque wrench, but has a single point in the centre, requiring a special tool/different head; again, does this require a fitter-only tool? Can we buy these? I know PXG don't want players mucking around with these once fitting is done, so probably a fitter only thing. Thanks for your help
  18. If I’m carrying then it is normally 8-10. But if I’m using my electric trolley then probably nearer 20, 10-12 newish/unblemished, another 8 of “practice” balls. I play with Pro V1s the practice balls will be a selection of premier balls found on the course.
  19. Hi all Seeing more and more products like smart glasses that proposes augmented reality on golf course. They propose features like green reading, ball finder or smart caddy. Did someone had the chance to test one of them? The product below in particular seems interesting from a design point of view but as a kickstarter, it's not available for test: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/109560964/qidi-vida-smart-ar-glasses-for-sports?ref=6y7jay&fbclid=PAAaZk8xBpHYa8azA920Fyd7dQZy8aXYWCm9g3ny8DUTGjtE6lipafPZlqgko_aem_AdOSuwmGyCKP676JI_1B96GiBWFFUvadEndiZgEawtm4lpzDwt0zoLv6lL1CBau9U9XM4GuPkZEr9Y1gLj_Exwtx&utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=paid&campaign_id=120207448838860258&ad_id=120207448838810258
  20. A lot will depend on weight and the MSI rating on the Rogue Silver, if it's 130 MSI, it's night and day to the other models- let's not forget also it has a certain amount of conunter-balance compared to the Smoke Black. I played the HZARDUS Smoke Black RDX in 6.0 for some time and found it to be dependable with decent feel for a tip stiff shaft. I didn't care for the Rogue Silver as it didn't have the feel (like for like weight and flex) I was looking for. Spin and launch was higher with the Aldila for me. Generally, the HZARDUS is stiffer in the tip and mid section and has a softer butt than the Rouge Silver, which has a noticably softer mid section. At the end of the day, it's all about weight, feel and dispersion, so if you find one that outshines the other you should stick with it rather than relying on opinion.
  21. I freaging love the Vokey wedges. The feel in the hands and when looking down on them, it's just right and insprires confidence. Have also completed the wedge choice tool on the titleist website. Playing the more soft fairways in The Netherlands. Hope they'll firm up a little in the months to come but overall quite a lot of water in the ground. Anyways, I would absolutely love to test those SM10 badboys out.

  23. Admittedly, I don't watch much CFB, but Kiper seems high on Terrion and the Lions needed help in the secondary like I need help on the golf course (a lot). So I guess I'm happy. Hopefully get some pass rushers in the upcoming rounds.
