Thanks for the advice BIG STU!  My doctor said I could start chipping and gradually work up to a full swing as long as there is no pain.

Good Superbowl Monday to everyone ☕ early logging in to the agency network to start the two most important days of the pay cycle, the critical days to correct anything that could cause someone a pay problem.
I'm the only one up and moving for work, wife's school historically has this Monday off to accommodate the gridiron chairborne diehards who usually need this day of recovery.  Daughter's school does likewise except uses it as one of their faculty development days so she gets a late start.  Corgis were up of course, now trying to get wife's attention for snuggles or something like that.  
Here we go, only took two weeks to drop from 1st to 5th in the pickem tournament which is more my usual experience, the week has begun 👍

Weekends are for early morning cartoons in bed (for the kids) and a few hours of not having to go anywhere (for the adults).
kicked up some pancakes with my helper and played fetch with the dogs in the brisk air.

Jobs are already filling in, vacuuming, son coming in from RIT to go to Buffalo Sabres Hockey with his grandfather downtown noonish, my own day ramping up in afternoon for the first of 6 consecutive Saturday afternoons, PGA HOPE golf session at Wildwood CC using their indoor simulators.  I've stayed active with the Western NY PGA HOPE program since my first session in 2018.  Much more going on with it for 2023 that will be shared in future posts.
Time to finish this one, son is on his way and must be done with jobs before he arrives.

Good morning! It just hit 8 degrees out here (47F)! Unfortunately, the wind is blowing 9 m/s (20mph). Still, it’s the first weekend since the fall when I’m finally able to entertain the notion of hitting a golf ball!
I’ve been hoping to take advantage of the weather to work on a shed I started building a couple months ago, but maybe I can run out quickly to hit a bucket. 

Weekends are often slow here on the forum. Often weekends are nice to relax and enjoy a bit of a sleep in. Unfortunately not for me. Weekends are stacked busy and often my busiest days of the week. 
Had a good morning with Ivan playing and sharing breakfast then off to work and if I am lucky this afternoon a long enough break to hit up the range again!

I used to watch and follow the NFL a lot more, but now I only watch the Chiefs.  I too lost interest in the NFL when some players refused to stand during the National Anthem.  Being from Missouri, I have been a Chiefs fan as long as I can remember.  We have suffered through the bad times, but the last 5 years has been very exciting.

I'm fortunate enough to work at a job where I can lease a brand new vehicle for my wife and I. Yesterday was my trade in day for my wife's car and I went and picked up a 2023 VW Tiguan R-Line Black SE. 

Well, as I'm driving up to the house today I see the windows (all 4) rolled down and it's raining. The Volkswagen's have a feature on the key fob that allow you to hold the unlock button to roll them down. I guess it must have gotten pushed in my pocket as I was leaving for work this morning. The seats, doors, and floor mats were kinda wet, so I spent a little time having to dry them out. 
Needless to say, I'll be checking them as I leave from now on.
I'm fortunate to have a wife that just made fun of me for that. 

I'm liking reading about different shaft setups, I'm happy I have 3 identical shafts I bought from Global Golf on eBay. And a big thank you to Global Golf for delivery ONLY took 6 DAY'S from America to New Zealand, amazingly FAST...

I'm thinking that's another symptom that each of us has to explore to find what works best, I have a 40gram and a 65gram shaft ladies flex that I'm hitting and the 65 shaft just doesn't work for me. The 40gram is much more forgiving, yesterday I slightly drop kicked off the tee up hill and I was almost as long. That's a surprise for me, I'm using a white tee about 1inch high to save myself when using much higher tees as I try to HIT them way too hard and I can go hook or slice..

Hey man, real honesty is what I wanna see so thanks for providing your experience thus far. Just like ANY piece of golf equipment from tees to golf carts and everything in between, it'll work great for some but definitely not for others. 
Up to this point, I'm just stoked to see all of the participation and general success rate. 

Until I can get on trackman or GCQuad I am going to abandon this project. Not that I didn't or couldn't hit my Otto Phlex, but I definitely noticed some inconsistency with it. The feel was fine and I will revisit this later on, however for now I am much more comfortable with my Fuji stiff shaft and the feel along with performance was much better. 
We will see what happens later on, but at least for now I have to call this a bust... or maybe it was just cold, not comfortable with the higher tee or a variety of other things however with so many other questions going on with my swing and so on it just doesn't help adding this as another variable.
