2nd full round of the year, weather was perfect but course was still quite wet from all the recent rain. Played with my dad and my son which was his second time on the course. My son had a great time and hit quite a few good shots. And unless I missed a stroke he got a 7 on a par 5. As for me had the pulls with the driver and chipping distance control was a little off. But I hit the struck the irons good other then misjudging the wind a few times. Wind was not really strong but was inconsistent and swirling a bit on a few holes. I also putted pretty good making multiple 6 to 8 foot par putts. Did have 1 stupid 3 putt where it was one of those optical illusions where it looked up hill behind the ball but after I ran it 6 feet by and walked over there it was actually downhill 😳, then somehow the putt broke the opposite direction coming back 🤯. All that added up to a 79 with 2 doubles and 1 birdie.  

You're definitely right. The face near the shaft is 100% the Warhawk face. The top grip face would be the "Shark Face". Makes sense why Bape made a lot of the sweaters in Olive Green.

Went to the Dallas Golf expo today with the kiddo and had a good time.
Spent more money than planned though. First I stumbled across a booth selling the 21 TP5/TP5x balls 2 for $70 but I noticed 3 dozen 24 TP5 Pix sitting in the back. Grabbed them and asked if these are 2 for $70 as well and they said yes so couldn’t turn that deal down. 
The kiddo really found this putter grip so got it for him. It’s a cool design and the matching ball marker the magnets to the top is a great idea. 


Also came across the Putt Master Putting Trainer. I will use it myself but mainly wanted it for the kiddo to give him the feel of not just flipping his hands for putts and chips. They had it at the show for $40 but recently partnered with orange whip and will be in all retail stores that carry orange whip soon and will probably be $60 to $65 retail. So had to snag it. Will also be changing the color to orange. 

Finally after my kiddo egging me on and the fact it was green one of my favorite colors I got a vivid golf range finder as they had it for $130 instead of the normal $240 on their site. In the venue I was a little worried about lens glare with all the lights but it was locking on quickly with scanning different things and looked through it really quick outside when leaving and looked good. 
so the lesson of the day is don’t take your kid with you to a golf expo because he was not help convincing me out of buying things and if anything was on the salesman side 🤣. 

I don’t mean to brag or anything, but I just bought some tees for the first time in almost a year. 

In Orlando for an Epcot visit tomorrow with the wife and kids, but I had to swing by LBV Club Pro Shop for a new hat

I’m wanting a launch monitor and like the garmin and rapsido or whatever it’s called. I want to stay under $1K. I’m not concerned about distance reading. I’m interested in club interaction and I want it to not have to connect to WiFi because I want to use it outside. 

Did you try the recommended putter on Puttlab or did you just go by what it recommmended?
 

Had a very similar experience getting fit for the Edel Array.  I’d convinced myself I needed a face-balanced putter.  SamLab disagrees.

out playing with putters yesterday and PGASS had a free Samlab quick-fit.
you hit 7 balls about 8 feet and it records all the stuff. I made 6 out of 7 - lol... it was the new ER8 evnroll.
Found out that I'm playing a putter that is:
too long 35, I should be in a 34
wrong toe hang - I should be in a face balanced
wrong shaft (plumbers) - I should be in a single or double bend
wrong head style - I should be in a mallet and not a blade
wrong grip - I should have a smaller one instead of the superstroke
other than that everything is great! 🙄 maybe I'm not such a bad putter after all. 🤷‍♂️
I guess I'll be looking for an entirely different putter now.

The only thing that stands out from my fitting is that I suck! Well, the TPT was 20 more yards, but my left shoulder was low and hitting down on it. I’ve been working on that the last couple of days, while it rained and am about to put on my waders and go play some mud ball. I don’t think I need major changes, just some set up tweaks. That minor flaw has created major negative effects in the swing. I did speak briefly with Jon during the others fitting. 

Been going through all of the data from the fitting that Jon Sinclair sent to me and a few things really stand out. 
The main difference I saw with the TPT Power Range 18 LO driver shaft in my fitting is tighter dispersion.  There was a slight increase in total yardage as well.
Wish I had taken pictures of the face impact heat maps, because that really told a compelling story about what was going on.
The impact location on the face of the driver head when using the TPT shaft was extremely consistent.  This is what led me to a slight increase in efficiency/smash factor, more yardage and much tighter dispersion.

The 6 dividers was really impressive and I’m a 14-way preference kind of person. Clubs were never getting stuck since the dividers go all the way down. Very minimal club chatter too. By the way, the code works. Picked up two more pairs of shorts.

I won a gift card off their instagram contest over Christmas and bought their bag. Very impressed by the quality of the bag. Only ding is the hinges will squeak a little. Other than that, very impressive quality. I also bought the best and a pair of shorts. Again, great quality. Will be buying more shorts from them. Will have to see if the code works!

So regarding those three gamer putters of mine (Odyssey Tri-Hot 5K Triple Wide, LAB Mezz Max, and Odyssey White Hot OG Double Wide), I've been measuring performance with them via Stack Putting.  I'll spare you the full breakdown of Stack Putting if you're not familiar, but it's essentially a putting app within the Stack speed training app. One of the very cool features for a guy like me stuck in the northeast is that you can build a custom putting combine and measure your performance for practice purposes. In my case, I have an elevated platform putting green with a maximum putt of 10 feet, and it does have some slight break to it in some putts. Here's the combine I created, which is an edit of one of the app's baseline combines.

This is only a screen shot (you'd have to scroll to see the full 9-hole combine), but you get the idea...various putt lengths with various breaks. 
Here's a snap shot of my best round with each of those gamers after 10 combines each:

From left to right are my best rounds with the Tri-Hot 5K, the White Hot OG, and the LAB Mezz Max.  As you can see, with the two Odyssey putters my speed control is decent to good but I tend to miss left, and with the LAB my speed was off and I tended to push the putt.
Next up, the Array fitting and maybe some insight into why i was missing like this.
