Played leagues last night. Had a good 9 while still aggravated by that muscle strain in my ribcage. First 7 holes was no pain, just swinging about 70 %, playing 1 more club. Last 3 holes had a couple swings that made me wince, but not as bad as before. Anyways, I ended up with 5 pars, and 4 bogeys, 38. Won my match and my son won his match too so we're moving up. Only 3 weeks left in the season.

All this blather about how nice a well hit iron feels.. and yea, it does. But I honestly can’t say it’s better than a long fairway wood, after a chunked drive to save a par.
that feels pretty good too. And 3 of those along with a hot putter made for a nice 73 for me today. Uncharacteristically good short game helped as well, getting them close enuff for a good putting day. Couple birds on back nine after 3 consecutive bogies really helped seal the deal for todays win.

Taking full advantage of my wife and daughter being out of town so I went out for 9 this afternoon.  Course had a special since the greens were recently punched...not the worst thing in the world.  38 with a double, one bogey and a closing birdie.  6/9 greens (Irons were so good...again...Houston, we have a problem) and the bad numbers were just a result of brain farts.
Pounded the ball off the tee since going back to my G400 LST.  5/7 fairways and the misses were from driving it through the fairway...went HAM on the short par 4's.
Really loving my game right now.

Played my local course this morning.  The greens are terrible and it's basically a pick the ball up and call it a 2 putt or if you are inside 5ft you can attempt the putt.  First round with the new irons and I hit them good.  I stuck a 6 iron from 196 to about 7ft with the zx5 and the zx7's played as I thought they would.  As long as you are hitting them flush, you can work the shot how you want to.

Shot a 37 (+1) last night and a 75 (+3) the day before that. My putting and short game is out of this world, if I could get my approach game in order I think I could be going low low low! I had my first 3 putt after going quite a while without one during the 75 round. I usually don't play my back nine and I ran into a couple greens I wasn't very familiar with speed wise. (Also, looking at it just now, I added up putts wrong, I think it is 28)

I shot a 2 over 37 on the back 9 last night which is the tougher 9 at my course. My good stretch of golf has lasted 6 weeks now. I can't explain it, i'm just trying to go with it.

Played Windmill again yesterday and it was not good. 45/47 92 from the blue tees. Hitting 500+ shots on the sim the day before did not do me any favours.

    Know this well…
Missed a basically straight 2.5 footer for birdie on a par 3 after a dart with a 6 iron on Sunday.  It was an indication of how the rest of the round would go.  Golf is hard and mentally painful.

... Oh yes most definitely, there is a vaccine for the lefts, just none for the rights. 😇

Apparently the lefts are contagious because my irons caught a case of them in the 9 hole league tonight.  Is there a vaccine available?
The past few weeks my approach shots have been dialed in so it was disappointing to be missing like tonight.  Got up and down a few times.  Luckily the pins were on the right a lot so the misses still hit greens, just 30' away.
Ended up at 2 over but that felt more like 8 over.

... Amen to that! A great drive guarantees nothing. A really good putt may not go in. But sticking any iron inside of 2 feet is a 99.99% guaranteed birdie or eagle. Although punching out after a bad drive and sticking an iron inside 2 feet to save par is a pretty good feeling too.

Had a case of the lefts off the tee in league tonight. Made for a long evening. A steady diet of punch shots to try to get back into position. As bad as a I felt like I played, I carded a 45, so it could have been worse.

Favorite shot of the day was a 7 iron (which isn't necessarily mid-to-long) but into a 174 yard green with water guarding front and sand to the left, sticking that to 7 feet felt special.
