I just bought a set of 3-LW Ping ISI irons so of course I'm thinking, "why not go for an all Ping bag?" Looking at Ping drivers now. Maybe a G25 or G30, something a couple generations old but 1/4 the cost of new.

I like where your head is at. I buy equipment with the same mentality. In the research I did, the G30 is the best option. It got extremely high marks on release against other drivers of the same generation and MGS forum members that have tried the G (the next generation) noticed almost no difference.
I placed an aggressive bid on a G30 on eBay but didn't win. Shortly after, I found a setting on my current driver that straightened me out so I put that purchase on the back burner for now. Still may look into buying one next spring.

Alright gentleman Stage 2 is up!
Great review. I got a good feel for your likes and dislikes. I think I would've considered stealing some points from the subjective criteria and placed them elsewhere considering how you felt about grading on looks.
I've got 2 questions for ya.
Do you track fairways hit normally? If so, are you seeing a % increase with the Epic?
Is the distance loss with the Epic equating to longer clubs into greens? Are we talking like half a club or 1-2 clubs different?

Really want the black Spider Tour putter still. Also, need to add a hybrid to my bag, considering picking up the Adams Red. I think I can get one for under $20.
Be wary of discount Adams hybrids. I got a pro mini for what felt like an awesome deal and hated that club the whole time I had it.

Next to last league match for the season and we're fighting for the last playoff spot.
I'm playing in the anchor match and the rest of our team dug us a huge hole. Down 5 holes and 8 strokes. What the hell? Blinds would've put us in a better spot.
My partner and I both had strong grips on our matches but needed more. Guess what we did, 2 snap hooks into the woods on #7 and now we've just gotta fight to win our matches. The team match is over.
Didn't get much better from there. The mental part of the game is a funny thing. Overall, I shot 1 over my handicap for a 42 and pushed holes and strokes. My partner tied holes but lost on strokes by 1.
It was a super tight match and lots of fun to play with those guys. Now the playoff picture is looking bleak so we'll see what happens from here.

My wife has the 7 plus for personal use and likes it a lot. The camera is great and a nice upgrade over the regular 7. My personal phone is a 6S that will be getting upgraded to a plus shortly.

Good to know. I'm thinking there might be a good deal out there for the 7 plus once the 7s and 8 are released. That could be a good compromise to save money and still feel like I upgraded my phone noticeably from the 6s.

I am on my second plus having had the 6 and now the 7. Will never go back to the regular phone again for business. Much better for typing, viewing docs and much better battery life. Even talked the Mrs. into a 7 plus when she upgraded.

Feel is totally subjective. Sometimes you feel like a nut. Sometimes you don't.
I like the hard seats in my VW but my wife prefers the soft seats in her Toyota.
Sure, some golf balls are built for different swing speeds and types but within those groupings, there's still decisions to be made on feel.

Come into work this morning to find my teammates got smoked in both matches yesterday. Hopefully the 2 guys playing today can bring it back close so I can do my work as the anchor leg tomorrow. That playoff picture is starting to look bleak seeing as we've only got 2-3 golfers that are even playing decent right now.
To add some salt in the wound, they've aerated the greens. Man it's a shame because they were in absolutely phenomenal shape the past few weeks.

Omg I just had my heart broken. I went to the course on lunch to take pics and videos of my putter only to see that they were currently in the process of aerating the practice green.
WHYYYYYYYYYY???
I knew I should've come out yesterday.
I guess all is not lost. I spent some time with the 60* trying to pick it clean on 40-60y shots and 15y flops. Loving the amount of spin and control I have so hopefully that comes to the course with me tomorrow.

My Stage 2 is up for all to enjoy. Sorry, I wasn't able to get on the LM before it needed to be up but I will have some comparisons with the SLDR soon and add them to the post later. How does the ball flight fare in the wind for you compared to the SLDR? I'd be interested to see how well you can cut through wind directly in your face.

Just talked to FedEx about a package that was supposed to be delivered tonight. Has been in Memphis since Saturday morning but somehow it was making it here tonight. The rep confirmed in fact it was still in TN and assured me that it would make it by 8PM tonight. I told her politely that I doubt it and was asked how I knew that? Hard to say well I own a map without coming off like a j@ck@ss.
