  1. My brother bought a set and he absolutely loves them. Is hitting them sweet.
  2. These are the best I've found. Consistent height, unbreakable and ball doesn't fall off. Flex-Head G3 - Flexible, Unbreakable Golf Tees
  3. I used a 50" years ago and never putted that good since. I just didn't like that huge thing sticking out of my bag.
  4. GolfPride MCC +4 standard size on my woods and Tour Velvet +4 on everything else.
  5. "Made for" is not correct. I paid $250 for an upgrade shaft (had to turn in original shaft). That shaft costs $350 normally. It is NOT a made for shaft. And the original was NOT a made for shaft. Those days are gone. I have a friend who used to build clubs for Koepka, Johnson and Lexi Thompson and now has his own shop. He tested my "made for" shafts from my drivers and they are the real deal. My new Stealth is on it's way through my golf course.
  6. Can you imagine the number of "hackers" that have hit that face? After my Stealth comes I'll let you know.

    Stealth

    Already ordered mine.
  8. I was a big fan of the HZRDOUS line until I went to the KBS TD Driver/Wood Shaft - KBS (kbsgolfshafts.com) in category 3 (stiff) at 70 g. Try it.
  9. My brother just got a set of those this year and loves them.
  10. Retired metallurgist here. 8620 is a common "carburizing" (case hardening) grade used in gears etc. In the raw state it is slightly harder then 1020. A plain carbon steel like 1020 has larger "grains" then an alloyed steel which makes 8620 stronger. Both are commonly forged steels. One difference in forged irons vs. cast is that you will get grain "flow" from the process which is claimed to make them stronger. Someone (Clevelqnd?) came out with a new miracle cast iron that was in reality not made of steel but of ductile iron.. It felt soft because ductile iron has graphite nodules in the microstructure which would help dampen vibration.
  11. re-shafted all my Titleist AP1 irons to graphite last winter. Best move I ever made.

  13. I bought a putter that was supposed to fit my stroke and it was a disaster. I traded it for one that was for a slight curve stroke (mine is straight) and it works great.
  14. I'm 74 and hate senior flex shafts. They feel totally DEAD to me. I play a Project X Evenflow Riptide 5.5 and it's perfect. Shaft wgt is super important. I've dropped down to the 50 gr. series and it helped.
  15. I have a Sim Max and bought a Srixon ZX5 with the same shaft. I'm back using the Sim Max. My 2 cents.
  16. My Tour EDge Exotics 220 3-wood came with it and I really like it. It's a higher launch then I was using and I'm getting more distance with it (10 yards). I have a Evenflow Rip Tide 50 5.5 in my Sim driver and that is also an awesome shaft.
  17. First irons I ever had. Wished I still had them.
  18. Last year I bought a TM Sim Max driver and it was the most amazing driver I've ever hit. Didn't like any of the Callys, Pings etc. I'm surprised TM went with milling the face (Cobra?) instead of the previous method with the goop. I think they had a winner with that design.
  19. I don't buy the new stuff anymore due to the ridiculous prices. I wait a couple years and buy a "new" two year old driver that works as well as the latest. I usually change to a shaft I like also and a lot of times I'll just take the shaft from my old driver.
  20. I would LOVE to see a test of the new 2020 top drivers (TM, Callaway, Cobra etc) for COR. Test maybe 5 drivers of each brand for an average (across the face) proving which miracle claims are really true. I suppose we could all go and hit them ourselves all day long but then we are expected to buy one. This test would show where to start. If it's already been done shame on me.
