  1. I hereby claim, for fantasy football purposes, the playoffs (which was fraudulently stolen),the championship, and the golden ticket, each ONE of which was won with a BIG lead. Lawsuits will be forthcoming to protect all MGS members and make sure all their points count!
  2. I hear that each graphic add 5yds to your drive!
  3. I used to be well diversified! Titleist/Cleveland driver, Ping/Nike Woods, TM/Off-Brand Irons, Cleveland/Ping/Cobra wedges, etc... But getting fitted over the past couple years has lead me to my current setup and I'm quite pleased. One thing that won't change for awhile is my putter. I've tried about 4-5 different ones at this stage and ole trusty Ping Anser 2 keeps finding it's way back into my bag!
  4. I view this a bit differently, based on your two options. 1) Cheating on a big event is cheating others 2) Cheating on a casual game is cheating yourself (perhaps by inflating your own ego or sense of self-worth - "I shot an 80 today!" when you really shot an 87...just seems kinda sad) Tough call to see which is worse, but I think cheating others has larger ramifications than cheating oneself. My first thought was actually of a book by Rick Reilly and some of the stories told within on this topic...
  5. Yeah, a bit surprised they didn't test a plastic tee like @fixyurdivotmentioned in the first post since that's the most common tee I see now-a-days. I use the Pride Professional Tees so I can get repeatable height on my drives, but it's just a 4 "post" tee (https://www.pridegolftee.com/pages/professional-tee-system-pts)
  6. Agree that changes this late wouldn't be appropriate. Definitely something to consider for next year, though!
  7. I tired these at my local Golf Galaxy and they are NOT meant for a bigger guy. I felt very unstable in them - although they were very comfy! Ended up in Sketchers Go Golf Elite v.3 - waterproof, wider toe box, super comfy, and plenty of stability and grip for a bigger guy. They're still available on Amazon for under $100 and sometimes even cheaper at Dicks/Golf Galaxy in select sizes
  8. Should we look at the NFC east for a real world example, then? Conference winner is the conference winner, regardless of how many points they score
  9. Wouldn't Conference record make more sense since the top 6 in each conference would move forward to the playoffs? I know I'm a bit biased in this particular scenario and probably too late in season to change at this point, but perhaps next year!
  10. So, question on how the standings work and how each team is ranked. This is not a complaint, only looking to understand what metrics are valued more. See the situation below with tie overall records, but very different conf records. So is the measurement step down 1) Overall Records, 2) Pts For? or what is that #2 and possibly #3 measurement step?
  11. Man, I really wish I had paid attention to injury/concussion protocols this week. Looks like i'll sneak by with a 1-1 week, but could have easily been 2-0 had I switched my RB's around... We have two weeks left and the top...2 from each divison go to playoffs, or top 4? I can't remember...
  12. This has been me the last few rounds I've played. Definitely Driver - Wedge (54/48 depending on hole yardage) - Putter. Only on longer par 5's do I use my 4i or 5i. I think I could honestly get ride of my 6, 7, 9, PW, and GW and wouldn't miss them a lick. But to your point, I certainly shouldn't spend so much time trying to groove the clubs I don't hit often and instead should focus primarily on wedges and putting, followed distantly by driver, since I don't have to be as accurate with the driver as the other two.
  13. Hmm, so maybe the 939x might be better...dang...too many decisions! And yeah, I would stay away from the Pro Tour...not my speed. I do like all the evenflow riptide shaft options, though, since I have an evenflow black on my driver right now.
  14. I know! I was blown away by those prices...VERY enticing! I saw a PRO that had a great shaft, similar to my driver, for $99 and it seemed too good to pass up, which is why I wanted to get some real-world feedback.
  15. Thanks @MattF! What would you say are the differences between the 939x and pro?
  16. Way to go @tony@CIC!! Congrats on the new grandbaby and correct choice on the clubs
  17. Dig it @dlow206 and appreciate the effort to organize the content!
  18. Hey Guys, Does anyone have any hands on experience with the Sub 70 Pro fairway woods? The price is very attractive and I know the last test in 2019 ranked them pretty high, but hoping to find some real world experience. I need something to cover between my 10.5* driver and 21* 4i, so thinking a 15 or 16* wood might get me to those long par 5's in two Appreciate the insights!
  19. Looks like Flightscope is having a BF week $75 off the Mevo from Nov 23-29 with code Friday75. Unsure about other products right now. https://drivingrangeheroes.com/flightscope-announces-black-friday-special-on-mevo-launch-monitor/
  20. Now that I have upgraded my driver and still playing the Wilson D7's and Ping Glide 2.0 Stealth wedges (which I finally figured out how to hit better, lol). I'm definitely looking at a fairway wood of some kind and maybe a newer putter...maybe. Driver @ 10.5* 4i @ 19* 3/5W @ ~15? We'll have to see!
  21. You're probably right, especially since they are used balls and the paint could have worn a bit thin in spots from play or even from the factory.
  22. Exactly my point. Love him or hate him, Tiger is a very big draw for casual golf viewers and since DJ had such a big lead heading into sunday, it almost made it a foregone conclusion he would pull it out unless something catastrophic happened...you know, like scoring a 10 on a hole... Funny enough, I recall watching sports center and even just evening news and all the mentions were "yeah, DJ won, set a record, BUT DID YOU SEE THIS 10 TIGER SHOT ON A SINGLE HOLE!!! Let's watch the reply!"
  23. Right @Tom the Golf Nut, understand the football competition they ran into this year vs past years. Was also pointing out that DJ's 4-stroke lead also didn't help since there was no drama to even engage more devoted fans.
  24. Bingo! There didn't seem to be any drama this year like some past years when there were a couple contenders vying for the win on the last day. Plus no "well known names" (aka: Tiger or Phil) to the masses didn't seem to help the ratings either. Oddly, the whole Masters felt subdued without the crowds, so I wonder what impact that might have had on ratings and viewer experience?
