I bought one...first non callaway driver iv ever owned (been playing for 24 years). Best feeling driver iv hit in about 5 years imo

 

then again im buying an Epic too, so...

Driver: 917D3 with Whiteboard 70x & Epic SZ (shaft testing)---Need help
Fairway Wood: 917F3 with 80X Whiteboard, Testing Epic SZ 3w as well (shaft testing)---Need help

Hybrid: Titleist H2 19* w/ Whiteboard 90x

Irons: Miura/Steel Fiber 110

Wedges: Titleist SM5 56, SM6 52

Putter: Bettinardi Queen Bee #6

Ball: ProV1x/Callaway Chrome

I LOVE'd my 917D3, that is until I hit the Epic. I'm not saying everyone will get the gains, but I saw 5 -7 mph increase in ball speed, and 12 yards of carry. Had to trade it in for the Epic. Hope it works out on the course. Bottom line, the 917 series is great. I didn't like the look of the D2, but the D3 was awesome

I have it. And someone on here I posted a rather lengthy result of my fitting for it. If I can dig it up, I'll post the link here.

 

But in short I picked up 17 yards over the 913 D2 and Callaway XR16, by being fit by a pro. He determined and shows me Trackman numbers that indicated I lowered my spin from near and over 4000 to around 2300 and picked up 1 mph on ball speed i belief it was.

What do you think of the 917 d3-d2. If you have hit it do you mind to send feedback?

I own the 917D2 and owned the 915d2 and D3.

 

The 917 looks, feels and sounds better than the 915. I added a few more yards because I actually went and got fit. The rogue max is a great shaft. The various weights can make a difference in how the head feels.

 

The club is a fairway finder and very consistent.

I have a 917 D3. Fantastic driver. That head paired with HZRDOUS Yellow is a killer combination for me. Can't recommend it enough. Added significant yardage and much better feel. Great driver!

I've hit the 917 D3 and love the feel of the driver. However it wasn't as long as my Tour Edge E8 Beta, so I saved myself some money
