Hackster
Going to Las Vegas the last week in September with my Mom and Dad. They are both in their 80's and have a timeshare, so I'll have some spare time. Wondering if most of the courses will be over seeding that time of year. I'll have a car so may head up to. mesquite for a day or two. Any info would be awesome. P.s. I'll be a single if anyone wants to tee it up. GolfJunkie302
Definitely hit up Wolf Creek. Amazing course for a pretty decent price. There are a bunch of pretty affordable courses out there, but once you get near The Strip, the prices go up, I believe. gaussman1
I know lots of people love it but I did not get along with Wolf Creek. Felt like it was golf on the moon. So goofy and tricked up. Spectacular piece of property though. Unless you're willing to spend tons of 💰💰 💰 most of the golf is about an hour from the strip. Paiute is pretty good. There's a Nicklaus Bears Best course that's pretty cool. Angel Park is good right in LV itself. Reflection Bay in Henderson is cool. MGoBlue100
Personally LOVE Paiute! Totally worth the drive out there. I've played Las Vegas National, which is right in town, a bunch. It's old school, not always as maintained as "other" LV courses, but it's got a cool "Classic LV" vibe. Worth playing if the price is good. Rio Secco in Henderson is a good track too. Butch Harmon has his school there, so you never know who you'll run into. Lots of good, reasonable priced options in Henderson. I also like Black Mountain. More of a locals muni course. One tee box has as awesome view of the Strip. Enjoy!! I love Vegas for the golf probably more than anything else, LOLZ. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy "Where'd it go?" Tim Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I can't speak to over-seeding or green punching schedules, but Paiute Golf Resort is worth checking out. It has 3-18 hole tracks that are all great. Ask about multi-round or all-day play options if you're wanting to really get after it. TPC is one of the top conditioned courses around, but you'll pay for it and I think there are better designed courses for less. mtrainier
September is a popular time for over seeding. Once you make up your mind on a few course options I would call and ask if they will be going through the over seeding process. Royal Links Paiute TPC Las Vegas Bali Hai Bears Best Those are my favorites of the courses I have played. I didn't take any budget into account. GolfSpy Barbajo
Have never played Paiute - hear great things. My favorite is TPC Vegas - just a ton of fun to play, as is Bear's Best. Have also played Wolf Creek - it's a love it or hate it course - I loved it, but it is kind of gimmicky. Spectacular, but gimmicky. That said, I'd play it again. Conestoga up in Mesquite is quite good as well. Jmikecpa
Will let you know next week once I get out there. I play out there a bunch during the year and Cascata and Shadow are my favorites. Davelouis808
Siena, Bali Hai, and Dragon Ridge are some of my favorites... Bali hai is good and close to the strip so if you have a long night gambling you can still make it on time. Dragon Ridge is a great course with some of the most amazing houses in Las Vegas on the track. Siena is just beautiful. Have fun
Kegger
I would also go along with many others in recommending Wolf Creek and Paiute. I played the Wolf Course at Paiute and had a blast, even with the 30mph winds and 39 degree temps! There are a lot of great holes including and island green par 3. Now Wolf Creek on the other hand... This course is absolutely spectacular! It does feel like you're surrounded by moonscape, but that is one of the reasons why I love the course so much! But love it or hate it, you will be hard pressed to find another course like it. Biegry
As far as overseeing late sept u might have some courses, a lot do it in October. I would call ahead, there are plenty of good courses but I agree wolf creek is a must. I didn't find it tricked up.
