TPC San Antonio 3/11-3/15

Alright guys, I'm a veteran wanting to take advantage of the military pricing at TPC San Antonio. If you'd like to join me sometime next week, I need to know now. It'll cost you $109 to play. But that's way better than $399 like it usually is. We are a couple weeks before the Valero Open so the Oaks Course will be pretty difficult, but I've never gotten to play a Tour course before. I'm a solid 90 on a muni, so I'm sure I'll be way over that at TPC. However, I don't care. I'm just wanting to have fun and play a tour course. Let me know if you're interested.

So I played the TPC San Antonio Oaks course yesterday. Played as far back as they’d let me, on the gold tees. Shot quadruple bogey on the first hole due to losing two balls. After that, nothing worse than double. Plenty of pars. Shot 90. For the first 15 holes it was covered completely in fog but there was no wind. For the most part I couldn’t see past 160 yards or so. It was kinda nice just hitting the ball and trusting my swing to send it the right place. The bunkers were treacherous but immaculate and I found plenty of them. Starting on the 4th hole my driver was deadly accurate. All in all, couldn’t have asked for a nicer round. I will say this though, the customer service attention and detail I got from there didn’t touch what I received at La Cantera Resort Course. Nobody offered advice or even to clean my clubs. I brought plenty of tip money because I assumed a course charging $300/round would offer that. Oh well, can’t wait to attend the Valero Texas Open in a couple weeks to see how the pros fare.
