Newton Driver Golf Shaft Review (2024)

I’ve been playing the 5 dot that has been tipped 1/2” and shortened to 45” and I’m more impressed with it every time I play it. Just the played it in a VGA event in 35* weather. Yes it was snowing lightly and it was cold. The Newton shaft didn’t disappoint. The golfer may have, but the Newton did not.

The fairway wood shaft is just as good!

Lower spin and more consistent flight. Also easier to work the ball. After the initial love of the Newton, it became work to get my desired ball flight. The Project X has been my old reliable

Exactly! I have two of their shafts and may put them in later in the summer to try again.

@Javs @Josh Parker I still have my steadfast shafts. Sometimes I switch depending on wind.

After 6 or 7 rounds with the fairway wood shaft, I will say it's staying in the bag!  Easy to hit and flight. Can shape the ball and trust it's going where I'm aiming.

I want one sooo bad!!! I have a driver 5Dot in my mini driver and it’s perfect for that club!

It really has been great!  I hit the ptd 3w the other day testing some things and it didn't even compare with the Newton shaft.
