LICC
Oh Rory. He makes it hard to believe in him when time and again he falls short. Bryson gutted it out and made some incredible recoveries, but Rory choked this one away. I so wanted him to get past his major drought and get a massive win like this would have been. He teased it, and then lost it. I'm not sure he comes back from this one any time soon, it was that bad. Rearviewmirror
LICC
3 minutes ago, Marty2shanks said: With Bryson’s win, is he actually the best player on the planet? Scheffler’s win at Memorial and Masters was impressive, but head to head at the last three majors Bryson has average finish of third and an average scoring to par of -9.3. Scheffler is 16.7 and -5.3, respectively. Next closest to Bryson is Xander with 5.3 and -7.7. If the majors are the true test of all the best players, then Bryson wins hands down. The PGA Tour hurt itself putting the Memorial the week before the US Open. That makes it tough on its top players.
tdroma98
Have to admit I didn't watch Saturday or Sunday's final round. I saw who was in the lead going into Sunday's final round & had no desire to watch any SaudiLIV employees and no regrets either. Norman's plan to hurt the PGA & harm Professional Golf just doesn't sit well with me. I know I'm in the minority. I did get the enjoyment out of watching the Meijer LPGA Classic & what a Sunday final round. Poor Grace Kim & not being able to close the door once again. For the 2nd week in a row, a player (other than the Leader) went low in the final round to win. jayyarr
They really need to overhaul the tours schedule. Memorial into a major into an elevated event makes absolutely bo sense and the same thing happened around the masters. bens197
If Bryson hadn't missed his short putt this may not have even been a discussion. Golf is so fickle and humbles the best players on earth. It's of little solace however those putts Rory missed weren't exactly gimmes. A downhill left to right with that at stake and you have to hit the ball outside the left edge...far from an easy putt. silver & black, ShimmyCocoBop, TJ Hall and 1 other 4 Quote PING G400 LST Mitsubishi Tensei White 60X TaylorMade SIM2 3 wood Fujilkura Ventus Blue 7-X Titleist U505 2 Tensei 1K Black 85 X Titleist T100 4-P Nippon Modus 3 120X PING S159 50-S 55-H 59-T DG X100 L.A.B. ClarkWGriswoldIII
If I ever need to do a reclamation project on my reputation, I'm hiring Bryson's crew. He's doing and saying everything right these days, so much so that it borders on sounding phony. He said all of the cliche things after the tournament short of thanking "his Lord and savior Jesus Christ." Feet look a little open; shoulders seem more square. I also think the line that was drawn is slightly right biased. Based on discussions I have had with a putting coach his stroke is left biased and he holds the face to keep it square to the target line. what was being discussed as a bigger focus is that he tends to shorten his arms and lift the putter. That’s been pretty much his stroke since he started. It’s one that lead to hot and cold streaks. It’s what holds him back from being even better than he is. The 6” between the ears plays a role too. His driving game is one of the best when he is on and near the best most days.

But it becomes increasingly harder to keep thinking he's focused when the past month he has been releasing videos playing with junior clubs haha. Hopefully it leads to more creativity. At the same time unless he somehow gets arrested again I find it impossible to bet against Scottie. It's always fun to see Bryson's unique approach and creativity on the course.
