josh.Scott
I am currently playing the tensei orange in an x stiff and struggle with the counterbalance as I feel like I cannot swing it fast, I am quite aggressive with my tempo and loved the HZRDUS BLACK, has anyone got any reviews or insights on the Diamana W-series, the Accra TZ5, the Tensei 1K pro white or the Ventus bue? I tend to spin on the higher end and Struggle to find places to get fit. Erin B
I’ve tried the Tensi 1K black and blue and like them both, ventus velocore and like it. Newton are nice too. The Blue TR is more stable but still can feel a kick. I have a deliberate tempo in my backswing but get more aggressive at the top of my swing and it feels great. I've noticed better dispersion and a mid-low launch window, and my spin has been more controlled. My strike consistency also has improved significantly. I have played the Tensei AV White in the past and also really liked that shaft. 1K Pro White is one I haven't tried but would like to. Ventus TR Blue is a great feeling, super stable shaft. If you're aggressive and have a higher swing speed, I'd hit OG Ventus Black or the new Black+, or TR Blue if Black feels too stout. It's hard when you can't swing them, but resale on Ventus shafts is pretty solid if you went that route and ended up needing to go a different way. ACCRA shafts are generally only offered through professional clubfitters, but Golfworks has some of the first generation TZ5 and TX6 shafts, which were manufactured from 2019-2023, and they are priced VERY reasonably. The TZ models are an updated version of the ACCRA Tour Z shafts that have been a very popular lineup from ACCRA since the early to mid 2010s. Many tour players, including Tony Finau, Gary Woodland, Matt Kuchar and Padraig Harrington have been using Tour Z (and more recently TZ) shaft models in their drivers, fairway woods and hybrids for close to 15 years. I actually did ACCRA shaft installations for all of these golfers, plus Mark Brooks and Vijay Singh when I worked for ACCRA, Graphite Design, and KBS on tour. They will probably be offering the latest-generation TZ shafts, which were introduced in 2023. However, if they still have the earlier generation of the TZ5, they should offer it at a similar discounted price to what Golfworks is offering. Agreed. I recently paired a HZRDUS Black Gen 4 6.0 60g with my driver and it definitely does the job. bens197
Tensei 1K pro white is my current favorite. I like It so much that I had it installed in my 7/8 year old G400 LST.
