I don't know how this happened but I might be on the market for a new driver unexpectedly. Is it ruined?

    Just cosmetic, maybe?

I've recently moved from a lift and swing arc with my driver, to setting 1" behind the ball and using a sweeping takeaway. It has helped me tremendously with better center contact.

In case you missed my recent posts in the Maltby thread, these are 2 of the more traditional putters that they offer that I just built. They're as good as ANYTHING! Cost me about $120 each (including tax and shipping). All of their putters are worth serious consideration.

I've had the same putter (Odyssey White Hot XG #9) since I first filled my bag. Today I was in Dick's, dicking around, and picked up a few putters to waste time. Now listen, I know the holes are cut bigger and I know the artificial greens "fall"to the cup but something just felt so good about this TM Bandon 3. Out of the five or six that I played with, it certainly stood out.

Might just have to sleep on this, though.

When I initially tried the JumboMax Grips, the size below the one they recommended on their web site fit me best. I tried the size they recommended, but it was too large. The next size down was ideal.

fao Arccos users eyeing the Jumbomax STR8 grips with Arccos embedded sensors
For anyone interested, I've sent in a query to Arccos customer services. Things I've asked:

    - Will they ever sell Jumbomax STR8 grips with embedded sensors as a full set? (They sell two Golfpride grips as 'smart grip' sets currently)
    - If the above answer is 'yes', will that include a year subscription like the GP smart grip set offers?
    - Will they sell complete sets of embedded sensors like they do the screw in sensors, with a year subscription? Currently you have to buy individual embedded sensors at around $17-18 each.

Currently, one would need to buy sensors and grips separately, which ends up costing a whopping $422+tax ($188 for a set of STR8 grips + $234 for 13 embedded sensors at $18/unit). Add on $155 for the annual arccos membership and that's $577+tax. [If someone knows of a cheaper route for this setup, please correct me!]
By contrast, for $250+tax you can have a set of 13 GolfPride MCC+4 midsize smart grips with Arccos embedded sensors and your first year membership (don't know if existing users would get a year of membership with that purchase). With a year membership included, that's over $300 cheaper than the Jumbomax route. Crazy money!

Something I've been thinking about but haven't checked out yet- I wonder if the green screw in base on the regular sensors can be cut off and will the resulting smaller sensor be the same as the embedded sensors, or will they fit the 'smart grips' like the STR8, saving the need to buy more sensors.🤔
[I'll provide an update when I hear back from Arccos]

100% agree on the feel. Still get the feedback but overall vibration is less. On the air install other than the tour that has rubber inside, the foam doesn’t have enough friction on masking tape. I will keep you updated on my current method with the layer of athletic tape. I know it will have more friction, but if it’s enough for the long term is yet to be seen.

Went to the Dallas Golf expo today with the kiddo and had a good time.
Spent more money than planned though. First I stumbled across a booth selling the 21 TP5/TP5x balls 2 for $70 but I noticed 3 dozen 24 TP5 Pix sitting in the back. Grabbed them and asked if these are 2 for $70 as well and they said yes so couldn’t turn that deal down.
The kiddo really found this putter grip so got it for him. It’s a cool design and the matching ball marker the magnets to the top is a great idea.

Also came across the Putt Master Putting Trainer. I will use it myself but mainly wanted it for the kiddo to give him the feel of not just flipping his hands for putts and chips. They had it at the show for $40 but recently partnered with orange whip and will be in all retail stores that carry orange whip soon and will probably be $60 to $65 retail. So had to snag it. Will also be changing the color to orange.

Finally after my kiddo egging me on and the fact it was green one of my favorite colors I got a vivid golf range finder as they had it for $130 instead of the normal $240 on their site. In the venue I was a little worried about lens glare with all the lights but it was locking on quickly with scanning different things and looked through it really quick outside when leaving and looked good.
so the lesson of the day is don’t take your kid with you to a golf expo because he was not help convincing me out of buying things and if anything was on the salesman side 🤣.

The website says I should go for large, but I can't imagine needing more than the medium. Can only imagine how fat the XL is! lol. I've tried from XS to M and have a superjumbo (regular grip superjumbo equivalent size) on my garage workbench to try at some point.
Agree on the feel and feedback. I'm really liking both the Ultralite and Zenlite grips. Next test grip for me will be the STR8 Tour. Endlessly tinkering. Ha ha

Good luck with the new size. I’m surprised the feel is still good with the XL. I found the same to be true with my JMX XS grip. The feel of the shot and strike location is still there, but softened slightly.

I did run into my first grip rotation issue. I installed the grips with one piece of painters tape and air. I was swinging my driver outside this evening to loosen up after a long drive and I noticed the grip was rotated at the top. See the photo below:

If you look at the rib along the back, you can see that it has an ‘S’ curve to it. The bottom is aligned correctly and then the butt end of the grip is rotated around.

It’s looking like air is not a long term way to install these JMX grips since @ZackS and now I have had the grips rotate.

I finally made it home, but after my 6 hour 80 mile drive, I didn’t feel much like going to the range. The good news is I will be there early tomorrow and playing tomorrow.

I just ordered a new weight for my hybrid. It has a 10g in it, and Jon said said I needed a 4g instead of the standard 10, and a 10g in my 3 wood instead of the 12g in that. Luckily, I can move a hybrid 10g to the 3w.

Just a bit of an update.
I put in a lot of work yesterday on the Ex Putt (it was an all-day cold rain and couldn't practice outside) I discovered I wasn't really finishing my follow through on some putts, kind of a decel and once I focused on that for 20 to 30 putts, the 10 footers started dropping.
Today while the course was closed drying out, the Head Pro and I went out to our putting green for a bit of a putting then pitching contests.  Keeping the finish the follow through in mind, I putted much better with the speed control. I didn't win any money off him, but I was down 10 bucks at one point but won it back on our last challenge.   So that was cool!  He is a +2 after alll and has a killer short game.
So Maybe I saved myself some $$$ from buying a new putter....For now anyway!

Played in a healthy wind today (10-15mph) and felt like my ball held up fine for a spinnier golf ball. No road rash on the ball either so good all around. I am now lining up all putts and tee shots without even thinking about it anymore. Feels like second nature at this point. Shot 76 and felt like I had good control throughout the round.
