  1. Thanks a bunch. It's been a fun learning experience and appreciate the feedback and reporting on the new platforms. We have a cool opportunity to bring new life to the forum while not taking away from it's core values. We can build from what this community and previous mods have built and push it further making it a go to golfing forum for testing (both mgs official and non) as well as just being the awesome community we are.
  2. I had Vettel and then Covid got him so replaced him with Ocon? I have to double check that though. Going to fun to see how it goes!
  3. Okay all! I'm excited that we will be launching some more features soon! For starters we have done a "forum face lift." This will be optional as we know that not all changes are meant for everyone, however I want to thank the Beta Group for assisting and creating pages of feedback and we are now pretty darn close to having it settled and sorted. So what does this mean for you? If you didn't know we have had a dark and light theme for a while now. If this is news to you, go to the very bottom of the page on both mobile and PC and click theme. There we have two at the moment: MyGolfSpy Default and Night Theme. Shortly (early next week) you will have 2 more options: MyGolfSpy 2022 - This theme is well a game changer. It brings a fresh look to the forum that fits what the blog looks like a bit more. It also has a built in dark/light theme switch by way of a PAINT CAN ICON next to the NOTIFICATION ICON.... Want a sneak peak? Well respond here and maybe I'll post one for everyone to see! The second one is an Alternate Light Theme which is more plain, but still gives a fresh look for those wanting a bit of a change. This means you will have 4 (well 5) different options for how you view MGS and its content! For the time being this will be an opt in feature as well, meaning you have to go in and select the new theme to use else you won't see it. At a later date it will be made a OPT OUT, meaning the default will be one of these new themes and as a member you can always choose or go back to one of the old boring ones after visiting the site haha The final feature is a ChatBox - Here we have rooms setup for discussion on various topics and OEMS. This also has an instant messaging service within it allowing you to message others via chat vs the PM email system. This feature is setup to see missed messages via the one to one messaging, but not the rooms (we have asked the dev to show a little notification for unread messages in rooms as well). It is a non intrusive feature that will allow those who want to chat and communicate via a more instant "discord" like service and will allow all to use the forum still in the same way. This feature has many benefits as we can also do messaging AMA's, Spy Meetups discussion and other more instant reaction/discussion for those who want to use it. Of course this is another option feature as those who want to post as per usual will not be deterred by this even while other discussions may be going on. I would expect this feature to roll out in the next week or so as we finalize the rooms and categories. So if you have questions fire away! There are also a few other surprises around the corner and we hope to make 2022 a very exciting year for our membership!
  4. This topic has so much depth and so many different branches. I'm right along with the NLU crew and their thoughts and beliefs of this whole tour. I understand these guys want to make money and as Kokrak said his goal is to make as much money as possible in as little time as possible. The morality of it is just so suspect and to me bothersome. I truly hope that I don't see any of my favourite players jumping ship to go over there. I hope the PGA Tour is able to enforce their ban or restriction on players being able to play Tour events while playing in this league. We all want to make a living and to support our families, but at what moral cost? Anyway I won't go deeper into that, its a rabbit hole that is way too deep and has been spoken on by many podcasts at great length.
  5. Signed up and joined up! Picks are locked
  6. I should say commit to running it. Not even sure I'll continue with the golf recaps after last weeks nonsense. I'll for sure jump in for participating, but just can't actually run it.
  7. If someone wants to organize it and run it then for sure... unfortunately I don't have the time to commit to that.
  8. They are two separate platforms so at the moment hard to combine them. We will look at a solution for it though. As for listing don't believe that is a option as it is limited to the functionality of the community map, so you can search using a few different functions, but location doesn't seem to be one of them. In the end most will look at the map to find the courses.
  9. There is a nice orange tinge in the air and a really fine mist that is falling. It doesn't happen often, but it is really fine sand from the sahara desert that floats in the air and when it gets to the alps and starts raining it causes this really unique look and feel outside... thankfully I park inside else the car would be covered.
  10. As i posted above. We are moving on.
  11. Well this all escalated quickly. Back to the topic at hand. Definitely right at the line here so although no blocking (not something we typically do), this will be a call out to this thread to keep it on track and keep it there. Lets not go down this road and have to shut down the thread, so to all be civil and continue on with the Gen5 discussion.
  12. Ping shaft would almost definitely perform differently. Often their stock shafts are countenanced to offset the heavier head weight of their heads. Where Callaway don't have quite as many options in counter balanced as their head weights generally are lighter then ping. It's a real who could say until it is tried. The adapters are different, not sure about the diameter, but a shop could tell you that. Could be better could be worse, all depends on you the golfer and your needs. If it was me i would go see a fitter and talk to them and ask them what you are trying to achieve and they should be able to at the very least point you in the right direction.
  13. Short answer: Yes, there is a wide variety of differences between shafts. Putting X shaft with Y head then switching it to Z head could lead to a drastically different feel as well. As for made for specific shafts, most OEM's have shaft options from a variety of shaft companies. Ping is one of the few (only?) that make their own branded shafts.
  14. Cleaning my clubs is therapeutic and something I just enjoy doing so I always clean them after rounds.
  15. We were fortunate to have several female testers last season with a few different products. Hopeful that trend continues and we see more women active on the forum! They were dinner great reviews and ones i really enjoyed reading as well as members i enjoyed working with on them.
  16. Looks 50/50 and some have done better then others, but it certainly could be track dependent.
  17. Declare your replacement here or via Fantrax.
  18. Hard to say if they were at all given her was already using the irons and driver which is likely why the deal with TM made sense for him.
  19. After a quick read they can it is just very time dependent and the implications of the timing are huge. Cap hell is a understatement, but essentially the team trading for him would be paying about 52 million for the next two years and falcons would have ball park of 30 million in dead cap space
  20. Can't say I disagree with you at all. I will admit I'm surprised that more teams aren't making a push for Ryan. I know his contract is high, but the falcons clearly need a rebuild and have said they would sell for the right price. Yes he is older, but several QBs have showed how they can be productive well into their late 30s and beyond.
  21. Now Wentz to Washington which is a interesting move. For someone who had been so good... I think for that short period of time he has been absolutely average at best since. Another change of scenery doesn't seem to me like it will make a big difference. More curious what Indy does now... Jimmy G?
  22. 100% on board with the thought a look can inspire confidence and aid in producing better numbers. For any club in that matter. Happy to see this for Scottie. My fantasy team has been even happier having him lead the way. Nice that he was playing these clubs anyway and doesnt have to change much in his bag.
  23. Denver did give up a LOT too. Good for Seattle to get that call for him. Hard to see the Rams and Cards not being ecstatic about not having to face Wilson though.
  24. So Rodgers stays in GB, Wilson shipped off to Denver and it really is only the beginning of the Off-season!
  25. Looking forward to seeing what Sub70 has coming out this season and hopefully a few more in LH availability!
