  1. 3 wood for me is a go to club. Whether it be off the tee or from the fairway it gets regular use. Most the courses I play are not super long and I could get away with no driver. It took a long time to find a 3 wood I love, but now that I have one it's a great weapon in the bag and the only reason its use has settled the last little while is I've been giving the g400 a good spin even on holes where 3 wood would be my normal club to use. Much of it would be course dependent, but I couldn't imagine not having one in my bag now. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  2. Little bit of wild life on the course (didn't manage to get the phone out in time for the fox who keeps stealing approach shots on 18) and a lovely view down 10 from last night. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  3. I may have said this before, but thankfully here in Canada it's not a huge issue. There are still some occasions and variety definitely land towards right handed players but during the demo clear out I'm always able to find good buys Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  4. Hopefully international shipping comes soonish... Not sure what I'd get quite yet but would definitely pick up something. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  5. Great early morning round at lost Creek today Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  6. First full round with the G400. Didn't loose a ball, worst shot was just left rough and manages 11/18 GIR. Ended with a solid 2 birdies and 74 over all ( 3 over) now had I only not bogeyed the last few par 3's. Game has really been coming around with the warmer weather and I can feel myself a lot closer to breaking par at some point this summer! Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  7. The Ping invasion on my bag has continued with ping glide wedges 54*,58* making there way it. I love the cobra wedges, but the pings offer a better gap and more forgiving wedges which has helped my short game immensely As well as a new big stick. Ping g400 standard. Tested multiple times and the forgiveness is exactly what I need and more. Last round was a prime example where I shot 3 wood all round and made 20% more fairways and trotted along to a 75 (bogey on the last 3 holes) No matter what other big stick I had I never had the confidence in making fairways After 2 on course testing sessions and some time in the bay it was clear the the g400 was the proper fit for me. Once they have all be cleaned up there will be more pictures to come! Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  8. Had a fantastic round at a course I'd only played once before. 3 birdies in total (can't seem to get 4 in a round) Ended with a 3 over 75. Didn't even use driver the whole round 3 wood all day! Only sad part was I had bogeys on the last 3 holes ... But still a great round and finished in under 2.5 hours Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  9. Long shot but anyone in Halifax area Canada looking for a twilight round tonight? Round this morning didn't work out because I had to work, but still want to get a round in this evening! Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  10. Thankfully got out with the first group today as we have heat warnings all over the province. Well above 30 here today and the humidity doesn't help... But onto golf. Decided to give the 3 wood a good workout off the tee today and had a shaky 10/11 with bogey and double, but ended up finishing with 8 straight pars and a final of 76 with one birdie. Not a bad round over all for me. Now time to find some shade. Hopefully I'll be able to do the same thing tomorrow! Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  11. Just got notification saying the g400 is at the post office ... Common work! Finish up so I can hit the range! Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  12. Anything around 32 I'm happy with. I got lucky and had two chip ins (one 4 Iron which I love around the greens and one putt from off the green which fell) couldn't help but laugh, really fun round and many entertaining shots. Thank goodness I can putt. Lipped lipped out on one and overread two others that were very makable but those are the breaks! What's the putter?! Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  13. Hopped in with a couple members at the course one of which I've played a few rounds with (another lefty!) And had a great time which also showed up on the course. He was playing really well with 12 pars and ended with a 77. I started off poorly with double then bogey and started the par train for 12 straight holes till a bogey on 15 but got a great birdie on 18. Although a good score with 76 it was a scrappy round which was oddly fun. I was severely struggling off the tee and really making up for it with my putting and chipping with 6 up and downs and only 25 putts. Funny how the game works. I can only imagine how the game would have gone had I been able to find the fairway with my driver. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  14. I'm sure most everyone has this same feeling. Currently at work (at a golf course) and am very very happy with everything in my bag. Especially when the new G400 comes yet as I sit here waiting for customers to check in I am searching constantly for clubs I don't need all throughout eBay, Kijiji and more. Its taking me many seasons to get to the point where I'm actually not wanting anything new but always searching incase that one deal that's too good to pass up comes along. Maybe a 5 wood would be a nice addition? Haha Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  15. Not exactly on topic but I have brought my dog to the course on many occasions however never golfing. When I work a long shift he is in the proshop with me hanging out and have only had great feedback Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  16. May have just pulled the trigger on a g400. At 30% off I couldn't resist knocks a good $175 off Canadian. Don't think I'll even find that deal at the end of season with demos. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  17. Had first aid training at the course today as a part of work and me and one of the other Marshall's there decided to head out for 9 afterwards. Grabbed our clubs and cart and met up with two other members. No warm up other then a few putts and after sitting and listening for nearly 7 hours was pretty stiff. Also decided to throw the epic sub zero in the bag as driver is really the only club I'm still trying to figure out what to game... Anyway. Back 9 start so hole 10 is a par 4 about 375 with a sloping landing right to left and then heads down hill to the green. I normally hit a good drive to about the 100 then have a wedge in which is tough because it plays short and going long is death off a bank and the water. Today was a different story, there was a good 14mph wind (thank you arccos) so I stepped with the the epic and took a rip at it. Went good and straight and thought perfect I should be about 75 yards in. However to my surprise I had run it onto the green about 12 or so feet to the pin. Shock doesn't begin to describe that drive. Maybe I finally found my driver! Unfortunately missed the Eagle right edge, but got my birdie shot 1 over for the 9 holes Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  18. Funny how that works! I have to say they just didn't fit for me and didn't work well for me at all. Not to say they aren't good..my brother in law is using the Mizuno JPX EZ forged irons now and loves them. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  19. Best 1: Cobra F7 3 wood. Go to and favorite club. 2: Ping Sigma G Tyne putter. Very recent purchase but has significantly helped my putting. 3: Ping I e1 irons with Nippon modus pro 105 shafts. Smooth and just love these irons so much. 4: Taylormade burner superfast rescue 18* still holds a spot in the bag. 5: most recent purchase but love it so far which is my Arccos 360. Honorable mention: click gear cart Worst: 1. Ping i25 driver... Had some great shots with it but was wildly inconsistent and we never really got onto the same page. 2. Mizuno JPX EZ forged. There really wasn't much wrong with them, but the shorter irons looked really ugly at address and the balance felt off on them for my swing. 3. Taylormade r15 3 wood. High hopes for this one, but just didn't fly with me. 4. Cobra fly z hybrid. Personally it felt super hard and just not good. Nothing like the drivers. 5: game golf. Worked okay, but ended up dying on me and didn't get as much out of it as I had hoped. Honorable mention: ray cook wedges... Don't know what I was thinking. Great thread I'm sure many of us could have lists that go a mile long Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  20. Fox Harb'r NS, view from the room that overlooks hole 10. Amazing spot and a wonderful round! Despite the cold and the wind can't wait to go back. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  21. Finally put together a solid all around round yesterday morning. Played the first 12 holes at even par with 3 birdies and 3 bogies which were all on the silly side. Then had a few just loose shots and some iffy putts and got around to a 75. My best score here at Lost Creek and was awesome to see the arccos system working well. After that went to a course for a tournament practice round and shot a 85 which all things considered I was happy with..greens were incredibly quick and small so it was a decent round and I learned what I needed to going into the weekend Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  22. Congrats on the big achievement and here's to breaking 80 before you know it! Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  23. Its an amazing spot out here. I grew up in Vernon and Vancouver and moved out here about 10 years ago. Can't see myself moving back, but definitely send me a message if you're out this way and I can give you some solid recommendations. PEI is also an amazing spot to check out. 24. So turning 30 in a couple days here and my wife for the big 30 (I know young for many) planned a golf weekend for us. It had been in the works for many months and was suppose to be a suprose, but one of the courses sent me the tee time about a month back. Suprise was ruined, but when I told her she spilled the beans on the whole weekend. Golf at Northumberland Link Nova Scotia yesterday. Weather was not good, but she was a real trooper in the wind and rain and we made it through. Fantastic course and can't wait to go back during a nice day. Stayed last night at Fox Harb'r resort which is fancy as all get out in a massive suit over looking the course and the ocean. Had a great pub style dinner with a few pints and now as the sun is coming out we are getting ready for round two at fox Harb'r. Course looks immaculate and can't wait to get out there. For all of us golfers if you are ever in New Brunswick or Nova Scotia you owe it to yourself to come here. The round will still be stupid windy (50km gusts) and cold (7) but we will have a great time and finally to end it off. My new Arccos 360 worked to perfection on the first round and I now have stupid amounts of data to run through really can't be happier and have to give my wife a big shout out for the whole weekend and being such a trooper yesterday and likely today.
