  1. Awesome introduction! I've had the pleasure to spend some time in Finland over the last few years however they have always been in the winter. I really hope to get there sometime in the summer to experience some of your courses!
  2. It's also why I'm stupid excited for the 410 crossover. Hoping it will finally be the perfect bridge between 4 iron and 3 wood. I could also put several other clubs in that gap which haven't made the cut ... Adams dhy, rogue 5 wood (currently best option), titleist tmb 2 iron, Cobra f7 6-7 wood cranked down, other hybrids. Just a tough spot to fill and most clubs I get to fill it haven't worked out and are more disappointing then playable for me. Rather then a club, that's been a spot which has provided the most poor purchases.
  3. I've been fortunate to not have many bad choices. Although many purchases over the years most have been decent, if I was the pick the worst it would have to be the fly z hybrid. I loved the driver and figured it would be a great partner to it. It felt so hard and just didn't for work me at all... A close second would be the Nike vrs covert 2.0 tour driver. Loved the look and color, but just wasnt built for me when it came to forgiveness. Was a rocket out there middle and sounded amazing, however off center oh boy!
  4. Really want to hit and try the new g410 crossover. It could finally be that club that fits between my 3 wood and 4 iron
  5. I've also never paid more attention to golf on tour then I am now. Nice being more invested into the sport and seeing new to me golfers and rooting for some real underdogs
  6. I'm just happy to see my team performing... Without Ricky too!
  7. Ha! Wish I had the connections to know who to pay off! I am normally not lucky enough to get a break so I'll take one when I can get one. Left a solid 50 points on the bench last week
  8. Why no kick this one off and hope that it ends up being the biggest one! No not a new member but we have to start with someone! 1. I have been golfing most of my life, but only taking it more seriously the last 5 or 6 years. I've got my handicap down to a 9 and am typically in the low 80s and creep into 70s at my home track. And more importantly I'm a lefty! 2. I love golf for the ppl you meet along the way and taking time to be outside and enjoying all the different sights and landscapes many courses offer. Shout out to NZ who has many more courses I need to explore! 3. MGS is my home for everything golf. Although I have been a member here for a while Nunfa0 is the only member I have met in person. It's a great community and keeps me entertained during the winter golf withdrawals. 4. I'm from Halifax Nova Scotia Canada and play a variety of courses with Lost Creek Golf Club being my home track. 5. We have world class courses here that are truly stunning ... However we have horrible winter's that seem to never end. Being on the east coast of Canada out weather can be confusing and volatile with more severe storms each year. 6. I work as an ice technician for curling clubs and events. Different I know but I truly love what I do. Plus summers are my off season!! 7. Originally I used Danbrook (my last name) however after the year was up I was in need of a change and went with Apolloshowl. Apollo is my pup who is now 6 years old. He is a Alaskan Klee Kai which is a mini husky. He has a really amazing howl that is more like talking and makes me laugh and smile. It's a name I've used for fantasy teams and more and felt very fitting for here. Plus it harks back to my hometown growing up with me growinh up on Apollo road. So lots going on with it! Looking forward to reading more about my fellow international spy's!
  9. Looking good! I may end trying out a few new big sticks to see if anything can out work the g400. Something says it will be tough for them.
  10. It's completely understandable to not start off with a bunch of lefty products. I'm fortunate that here in Canada we have a ton of left handed golfers and it's very common compared to other markets. Glad to hear it's on your radar and I'm sure many of us will be keenly on the look out for if and when some hit your product line.
  11. Long shot, but has to be asked as we do have a fair sized lefty community here. Any future products to potentially be available in lefty?
  12. Will be interesting to see who gets the most value out of their picks. With the leagues being so deep definitely made every pick important. Kinda wishing I had taken grace earlier as he was available for the longest time!
  13. Picture to follow soon, but my Ping Glide 2.0 ES 58* came in. I did order it in stealth, but came in regular finish, but have to say I do really like it. Maybe wait for a new ping wedge to come out to replace my 54*.
  14. Just back the NZ and a few rounds with @Nunfa0 who was by far the best host I could have ever asked for. Had a great trip and will resist from adding all of the photos taken! 4 pictures from the 4 courses!
  15. First order of business is getting my father in-law set up with a new set of irons...and talk him into a hybrid.
  16. Have a lot going on and some good and fun news to share. With work still bring busy but more with larger trips away and when I'm home less time working I went to try and look for some enjoyable part time work to keep me busy and help pay the this golfing obsession. Ended up working out that the local golf shop was looking for someone at the same time and I start when I get back from NZ in a few weeks! Can't wait to get started and learn more about the equipment side of the industry as well as fittings and everything else. It's a great shop locally owned and operated for a number of years now and is still very successful despite having golf town and sport check stores offering golf products. They have incredible customer service and the only draw back I can see is wanting to buy absolutely everything there all the time! Haha
  17. Slow start as time kinda caught up with me with work and a few other commitments, however been at 60+ for 3 days running. Elbow joint keeps creaking which isn't great, but no pain. Definitely feels good doing a set amount so far and will look to ramp up this weekend into next week.
  18. I think this could be a worth while challenge. Count me in on this... Need something a little extra since it's -17 or colder here poor dog doesn't even want to go outside
  19. Wanted to do a quick follow up now that it's been a few months since stage 2 was posted. I also plan in doing another little write up here or in a new thread after I play in January on a actual course. Anyway, last night was my first time swinging a golf club since the first off November as work and winter came ending my season very abruptly. My father in law and I went to local golf simulator and I was super excited to get some more swings in. I had the beautiful i210 all cleaned up and ready to go and boy did they ever perform. I'm always a little skeptical with the performance the simulators throw out, but after a bit of time in the practice range it was clear most the clubs were flying a bit longer then during testing. However the feel and shoot making abilities really are spectacular. Whether it was a draw, fade or low shot they were all there in my arsenal and readily available. I will now high flights the simulator didn't like, but I've found that with many. I really love the solid responsive feel of the i210 and how the club/ball feel at impact. They really are an exceptional club that do everything asked of them. Hopefully all that transitions back on to the course in January. We ended up playing two rounds and had a 83, 66 (scores I take with a grain of salt). Took me nearly a full time to get a hold of the putting, but once I got the feel it was game on! There will be many new products coming out very soon and with a later season release I hope the i210 doesn't get lost as it truly is a fantastic product by ping which shouldn't be overlooked!
  20. We got a nice 13 with 40mm of rain and 80km/hr winds today. Not sure if it beats the -20 with windchill... But means there could be a few courses opening up if it doesn't get cold again!
  21. A month is too long... How dare we let it go this long without some love. Thanks for the bump! And just for kicks here is a few picks of one of my old collectors I'll say. Doesn't get much use because it doesn't suit my putting, but does it ever look good. Still miss Nike clubs.
  22. Congrats to both of you and very well deserved! Looking forward to what you guys do with the forums in the future!!
  23. Wedges may be my safest option. It’s really nice to see traditions run so deep and how “old” methods can still produce the most amazing products. Even the simple art of watching and listening for strikes and not using a LM. Makes the product that much more special.
