Peterpc2828
Just a quick point, you don't need to buy grips with the arccos sensors already built in. The arccos 360 have screw in sensors to your existing grips with a few caveats. The sensors are transferable to new grips of your choice, just unscrew them and re-screw them back into the new grips after you install them. MDGolfHacker Yes your correct but if I'm reading this right you can buy the Arccos 360 sensors now for $279 which includes Arccos Caddie or $249 without Arccos caddie or now buy Arccos smart grips with sensors for $150 (13 grips with sensors built in plus 1 sensor for your putter) I think the better value is the smart grips with sensors built in, replacement smart grips with out sensors cost $7.50 or $10 with sensor built in. MDGolfHacker The big question is how do the grips compare to an OEM grip company or what I have or currently like in a grip ? Who is making the grips for Arccos? Very interesting move on their part, I'm liking this option as even though the sensors are more streamlined than the 1st gen versions they still sometimes come off. Peterpc2828
This whole launch is very very confusing, no where on https://www.arccosgolf.com do they mention the new grips instead all the social media advertising for them shows a completely new site https://www.arccossmartgrips.com And when you try and compare pricing for either products it really doesn't make sense to me, why wouldn't you buy the grips with the sensor built in? Why pay close to double for sensors only? I guess you really have to love your grips and are unwilling to use their grip? Wtwilkes
When I found out Shot Scope V2 could work without a phone in the pocket and had similar data analytics I reached out to Arccos about the Apple Watch support and in play caddie access (club recommendations). Glad it's coming because the price point is similar for both systems and I much prefer to leave my phone in the bag. I'm a little surprised they're doing this; it creates doubt in the mind of the consumer. As for the smart grip pricing, if you add in the $99 for a year of Caddie, it's pretty close to the screw-in sensors + Caddie (still $20 cheaper). But I know plenty of people who are so particular about grips (not me, obviously) that they wouldn't switch. jb0330
So I've looked into this a bit. I currently use game golf and I do enjoy it but I do forget to tag shots here ant there. Cobra connect cost 50$ a year to use and Cobra covers the first year for you. From what the guy online told me that doesn't include caddie feature just the normal shot tracking and analytics. It looks as if you could pop the normal sensor out and put it in grips that would house it but I haven't seen anyone do it yet, and I dint know of it voids any warranty. It would be cheaper Long term to buy the sensors I think and pay for the caddie feature. For me I'm not to concern with the app telling me what to hit I just want stats and to truly understand my distance for my clubs, not what I think I hit them.
