cnosil
The authentication registry is primarily for your or limited edition putters that have a Cameron registry number so it may not help you verify that putter. Why do you think it is fake other than Cameron’s are sometimes counterfeited? I personally think lefty Cameron’s wouldn’t be a big market since they would be tough to flip. Did you trade with a random person or did you use a golf shop? Did you trade with a random person or did you use a golf shop? I agree. If I were going to make fake Camerons, I certainly wouldn't make a lefty putter since they are more difficult to sell. I'm also curious about your rationale behind thinking it could be a fake. If you got it from a reputable golf shop, I wouldn't worry about it. The easiest way to check might be to see if the head weight is consistent with the listed "stock" headweight. Usually counterfeit putters are much lighter than the listed weight. cnosil
Cameron counterfeits are a world market and not just Canada so I still say lefty counterfeits are probably pretty rare. The shaft label looks right for the model. Here is an article for you to read to help you evaluate: http://golfclubbrokers.com/blog/counterfeit-scotty-cameron-studio-select-newport-2/ Should be a serial number etched on the shaft, call titleist with that number. Ok i will call titleist can you pleasenprovide me the phone line# .You probably can’t tell unless you have an authentic putter right next to the one you have. I have have seen 2 side by side And you couldn’t tell real versus fake unless you did the side by side comparison and knew which was real. bmaru99
I have a scotty Cameron and i have seen fakes before. Off of previous history with them, this one does seem to look fake to me with regards to the red circles on the back of the putter, the lighter shade steel and just the build looks off to me. The easiest way to tell is by the weight of the putter. If you find it very light it means that poor quality has been used when building it. Philly Golf Guy
The putter is real. I owned a studio select and there is light milling on the face and the shaft label is correct. The head shape is correct as well. Finally, most counterfeits are circle T's, I haven't heard of any selects being counterfeited. It may happen but it's extremely rare. You are good.
