PMookie
Visited with Edel today to ask why no magnetic alignment fitting options for the blade, and then if there’s a reason to change from EAS. They didn’t make options for the blade because hardly any demand from previous fittings, and vs EAS these can be fit to stroke, and aren’t torque balanced like EAS, these have toe hang. I’ll do a fitting and see what happens. Donn lost in San Diego
Can I get some comments on Edel putters, not about the looks, about if you stick like glue to yours. Especially EAS 5.0. The f1 and the e4 torque also. I like my face balanced Odyssey R Ball and spent about 90 minutes today, un-guided, at a Club Champ and the Edels impressed me but so did 7 other balanced and also the LAB ring job DF3. The Array F1 and the EAS 5.0 pushed the frontier for me. Probably need to pony up the extra $ for a fitting even tho I know what I liked before and what I learned when hitting about 15 putters, all face balanced and 2 that have negative hang thing, the LAB DF3. Thanks for the reminder. I actually started the year putting pretty well with my Scottie so I haven’t looked at them or tried one out yet. I will get to Edels in the next few weeks and revert back. Focusing more of my time testing driver shafts the last few weeks. So I will look at this when that is over. I definitely think a fitting is worth the money. I was fitted for my Scottie and the adjustment to lie and loft were key to getting the ball rolling faster after impact and so my distance control has been a lot better as well as my aim. You would be surprised by how much a ball can pop off the face if the loft and lie are not right for your swing. You would be surprised by how much a ball can pop off the face if the loft and lie are not right for your swing. After I got hearing aids I can hear the ball skidding on the artificial surfaces and some wet greens. So I factor that in to my decisions. I think it also happens depending on angle of contact and the angular momentum at impact. I have an Odyssey with their "micro hinge" face and I think it is effective in roll vs. skid.
