Question, Are the suits breathable and and do they run big or smaller size wise? This set up is some kind of witchcraft! I have never seen the breathability and waterproofness (I just made up a word, so proud) in the same package. You will not be disappointed. The "slacks" are true to size. If you have large shoulders, I recommend going up a size for the jacket. I normally fill out a 2X handsomely, but the shoulder area is a little snug. You can sit inside and feel the A/C turn on through the pants. The only drawback to the jacket is when it is zipped up fully. The zipper is uncomfortable on the neck area. Thats my ONLY real complaint. Going into to this review I didn't know about GB other than it was expensive. The old term, you pay for quality, well this is the epitome of that saying. You will not be disappointed. Look at the Spring sales drop down box. They have some packages that are more reasonable. Mike10487
Update! 6/12/24 We had a nice rain day today. I brought the GB jacket to work today. We had on and off rain most of the morning and overcast in the afternoon. I will say I expected to peel out of the jacket when the rain quit, but to my surprise I wore it until 5:00. Granted it was overcast and 83 degrees. I would say I wasn't any sweatier than I would have been without the jacket. I could certainly feel the breeze through it at all times. Size wise, I will still say the shoulder area is tighter than anticipated, but the material stretched perfectly and wasn't uncomfortable in the least. I might actually talk to the boss (this time) and try to get a larger size. ChaosReigns and Rob Person 2 Quote Incredible recovery shots are set up by an equally incredible miss. Randall Robbins
By the way, not to belabor a point, but as far as the question about the pants being over pants or single wear, the Galway Bay site says that the pants can ALSO be worn as slacks, implying that they are worn over clothes, and secondarily as stand alone pants. Without checking the internet to see if I'm right or not lol , I always thought "slacks" were just dress pants.. At least that's what I've always called them. Now I have to Google it lol Rob Person 1 Quote I’m not the greatest but I’ll always play

I believe what they meant by that statement, is that you can leave the course, throw a shirt and tie on for dinner with friends or an outing without changing the slacks. Randall Robbins
By the way, here's an update - wore the pants today, with temps in high 80s to low 90s just to see if I got cooked or what. Don't know how they did it, but the pants were comfortable, could feel air movement, and never felt hot. Did I sweat in them? Of course I did, but it wasn't any different than knit or cotton pants so these are pretty versatile. Full disclosure : I sweat anyway, even at temps in the 30s, so this is normal for me. Excellent performance again!
