Items inside definitely felt water. Fortunately, I didn’t have anything that could truly be adversely affected by humidity in there. I indeed made sure to open the pockets and remove their content to let the bag air dry last night and hopefully avoid any bad smell.

In my case, it was more damp than wet/soaked. However, if I had had a non-waterproof rangefinder in there, for example, I would have been a bit stressed out yesterday knowing that I had left it in the damp pocket for a whole day.

My main hypothesis is that water permeated through the bag AFTER my round was completed as it had been subjected to quite some rain on its whole surface area and I don’t remember noticing much, if any, humidity in the valuables pocket when I went to get my wallet and car keys Sunday night after said round. When I got home, I simply put my bag away like I usually do but maybe that if I had let the bag air dry in the first place, it could have prevented that? I will definitely do that next time I experience some rain during a round that’s for sure.

Here’s a quick update after yestersday's twilight round. At this point, I feel like everything about Ghost Golf's Anyday Ronin bag has been said, but I really enjoy sharing "portrait" pics of this bag (even if it's weird that I have more pictures of this bag on my phone than basically anyone else's).

This bag truly made me fall back in love with carrying my clubs. My local course has a nice ondulating layout, but it's not a difficult walk by any means. I'll definitely carry my clubs more often than not when playing this course, thanks to the level of comfort and stability provided by the harness.

I'm planning on posting my final review in the main testing post today.

Spoiler alert: The Ronin is brilliant (not perfect), but it is brilliant!

Excellent review! The pros and cons are very accurate it seems all around.

I've said it before, and it bears repeating.  Regardless of what a manufacturer believes about their products,  the honesty of the reviews here will definitely offer them an opportunity to improve on deficiencies... or they won't at all.

I saw a Twitter post by Connor from HQ and I think it sums up my view of the Ghost Bag and their target audience.  Maybe not juniors specifically but the younger generation of golfers.

I listened to an episode of No Putts Given (MGS's podcast series), can't remember which episode exactly, but they were talking about an event at HQ and basically said the same thing. The proportion of Ghost Golf bags in their sample was off the chart!

Played a scramble the other day, and alot of people asked about the bag. They loved the quality as much as I did. Got to love the little things that help create confidence and then play pretty well.

Just managed to catch up on the thread. Great write ups guys and I have to agree with your views on the cooler pockets.
One issue I have found with mine, that hasn’t been mentioned, is that the bag keeps moving when I have it on my Motocaddy M7. It has a habit of twisting to the side. This is partly down to the fact that the tops of the legs are the same height as the upper support on the trolley and also because the groove in the base of the bag is wider than the Motocaddy slot for it. 
I’m hoping to try and rectify this by finding a way to mount the Motocaddy Easilock studs onto the base of the Ghost bag so that the base is held in place on the trolley

The carts we were using yesterday really illustrated how tight it is getting into the side pockets to get things.  In this pocket I keep a small bag with tees, ball makers, and divot tools.  Even getting into the valuables pocket to put keys and phone into was tight.     My older bag had smaller pockets higher up so I was able to put the smaller frequently accessed items in those pockets.

 

I will say it was a beautiful day at the course and the bag does look great.

I noticed this for a while be forgot to comment.  I carry a lot of balls in my ball pocket which causes the ball pocket to get twisted/stretch and as a result the magnet closure on one side doesn’t stay shot.   This is a combination of the magnet being weak and at the very edges of the bottle flap and bag.

I ran into similar problems because I do LOSE balls, and i mean LOSE! let there be a water jug around and I'll put a ball in and the ball be gone.

Chris, it's funny that you mention that because I have the Oreo bag as well, and on the same side mine pops open as well. I put my Oakley sunglasses case in there one time and unless you have it almost perfectly lined up, it pops open. The one on the opposite side doesn't, however.

I got the Oreo Anyday for my birthday and I am more than impressed! It’s beautiful, and I get tons of compliments. I like all the pockets but do wish there were more areas to attach towels or brushes, etc. The water cooler system works very well—it stayed cold for an entire 9 holes, though I did finish the water before it got warm. I kind of wish I could put my golf shoes in the bag without having to buy another piece to attach and bring with me.

I do love the storage compartments and am happy with the current organization. Lastly, I’d love to know the best way to take care of the bag. What do you all do? What should I do if the white part of the bag gets stained? If there could be more info on the website, that would be great.

General recommendation is some soap and warm water.   Have also heard magic eraser and you could always go with a leather cleaner.      I personally just wipe off any dirt/dust with a damp cloth.

Brand new to the game but long time reader of the forum.  Just got fitted and picked up a set of Cobra Forged Tec Irons and had my buddy hook me up with Cobra LTDx Driver.  Just need a bag to go with them .

My brother has a Ghost bag but in watching a few reviews from folks who have had them for 8-12 months, I've been reading the leather starts to crack or peel.  Anyone experience this thus far?  How have they been holding up?  

Eager to pull the trigger but figured I'd drop a note here and see if anyone had any insight on the above!  Leaning towards Ghost but was looking at Vessel and Stitch.

I’m only three months in but so far so good. I also keep mine cleaned on a regular basis so hopefully that keeps the “leather” in good condition for a long time.

Only a few months into owning mine and there are no signs of any issues with the material.

Thanks for the quick reply!  Yes I know, should've put leather in quotes.  I'm fairly similar and maintain my stuff on a regular basis.  What have you been using to maintain or clean?

Thanks for the reply @cnosil!  Good to know.  Your review was one of the things that kept me a bit hesitant especially with storage, which is why I was looking at Vessel or something else with a full size side pocket.  Have you been running into storage issues still or has it been satisfactory?

I have what I need in the bag but there isn't much room for much more.  Basically I have adapted; which is what anyone should be able to do with a bag.

I’ve just been using a clean rag but I might look into using a magic eraser if the white begins to look off-white.

A little disappointed after my round today.   Got back to the car and one of the play fearlessly tags had fallen off the zipper which made it difficult to unzip the bag to put things away.  

 

I think this is a problem with the hinged snap rings

I may switch to a small split key ring to avoid loosing more.

I think I understand the sentiment but I would disagree only to the point that one should know what they want in a bag first and make a prioritized list of those features to make sure you get the bag you truly want. Especially if you are paying the premium price. I’ll learn how to make do if I buy a budget priced bag.

That’s a bummer to hear. Haven’t had that happen yet but it’s good know what to watch out for. I guess that’s why they send so many extras?
