I have used only one of the RPT balls for all of my at home testing…this ball has around 300 shots on it so far:IMG_5361.jpeg.fa381193bc7450d8f65042cf8ffa4a85.jpegIMG_5362.jpeg.04e5242864cc29b1a12df51c73055f34.jpeg

Definitely showing some wear.

Mine lasted about 200 swings! I was hoping 3 balls could last me a few months. Im trying to hold off until/if Titleist releases their RPT ball.IMG_4322.jpeg.853e783dd4aed0683097a9fa15d80b2f.jpeg

Man, that’s bad…you hit the ball too hard!  I might just take a sharpie to touch up the dots, but that’s not going to help you!

Did see in the website that they were providing a dozen balls with the order right now.

I’ve rotated 3 for a few months and not seen this yet.. maybe you just got a bad ball?

I have a cobra rad speed driver, cobra fly z 3 and 5 wood, taylormade m1 irons (5-PW), Top Flite Gamer wedges (52,56,60), and odyssey white ice putter. When I’m playing to keep score I typically play the Maxfli Tour X. When just getting a round in with friends or scrambling I play whatever I might find on the course or might find at the bottom of my bag.

I was hoping the same..looking to see how long the next two balls last.
I try not to blast non-stop drivers but it is addicting when you hit it straight (more often than not!)!!

I hadn’t thought of driver. I don’t usually use my driver. Too scared it will go through the net and hit a house so I try to hold off and just use irons an woods sparingly.

I was very tentative the first few balls I hit into my net.  Have hit quite a few drivers without major issues.

One of the tabs on the screen broke and was able to fix with a metal tie.  I don’t leave my net up all the time, only out while I am actively using it.

I have the GoSports net. Reviews showed it could handle high ball speed. I made a mistake and only got the 7x7’ version; reason being is once you move it 6+ feet in front of your ball, the net gets awfully small!!
So far (🤞🏼) it is withstanding 175 BS (mostly my son’s doing) with no obvious signs of wear.

I have a Galileo, it’s 9’ x 7’ (t x w).  Haven’t been close to missing wide, did have a wedge hit at the 8’ mark (they make an 8’ tall net, but I went with the extra height)…glad I did.

It doesn’t feel too small, but feel the farther the mat is from the net, the better the data comes out.

Definitely showing some wear.

I’ve only used one ball so far in testing.  I’m not seeing this yet.  Now that I’m using my driveway to hit into the net in front of the garage the ball will sometimes fall down off the net and bounce/roll on the pavement.  I’ll have to examine it when I get home, but I think I would have noticed if it looked like this.

I use mine out on the driveway, but for the most part the balls stay within the netting.  A few do bounce out (mostly with the driver).

Still crazy seeing the cracked ball @Fiveslow had!

All the edges of the dimple pattern are scuffed up.  I’ve probably hit the ball close to 400 times, plus it loves to roll down my driveway and into the street after a great drive.

I still question some of the distances using a net.  The total yardage seems to reflect more what I would expect to see, carry seems short.

I loved using it on the range, reviewing the data and shots after the session is great…and couldn’t agree more, the shot tracer is awesome!

How much would you say yours is off by? It’s interesting for me that my 8-7 iron is still about 10 yards off, but my 4 iron, hybrid and driver are all about how long I expect. I have a steep swing so could be something there?

Around 10-20 yards on the longer clubs (driver through 7 iron), shorter clubs seem to track pretty accurately.

Does the Rapsodo have any adjustability in leveling without the additional base, Would be nice if it could swivel a little on the tripod so I wouldn't have to bring extra stuff to the range.

No it does not.  The only thing you can do with it is have the single or double leaving forward (depends if you sit a phone or tablet on it).

It would be a nice feature to have adjustable feet built into the unit to account for this.

Thanks! I have a 3d printer so I will probably print one but it still would be cool for them to implement that in the future.

The leveling base I bought was definitely 3d printed…had some metal inserts put in for the adjusting screws to go through.  Think if you have some skills with the printer you could easily make one.

Personally I have not seen many issues with distances and tracking at this time. Though I need to do more work with the longer clubs as I have been working on some gaping issues.

No real differences that i have noticed. They are intermixed between the Callaway balls and there is no difference in readings. I have ready reviews that wedges seems to eat up the dots, but its a much better option than using the Callaway balls. I've taken some older Pro V-1s and they've worked great!

As mentioned above I started noticing some gaping issues specifically with my Edel SMS 5 iron. When doing the target range practice I was noticing that my 5 iron could not get much over 180, but my 7 iron was sitting around 165 to 170 so obviously that gaping would not work. So I decided to start digging through my former Mizuno 919 Hot Metal Pro set and see what I could come up with.

I entered them as a 6 hybrid and a 5 hybrid for comparison. From a loft perspective the 6 iron in the Mizunos is the same as the Edel 5 iron so I wanted to start there and see if just the different construction would do the trick. Though as the data shows below I was not able to get much more out of it still topping out around 182 or so. I noticed that the club speed was not increasing much which makes sense as being the 6 iron the shaft is a bit shorter.

IMG_3162.PNG.bdc401d9854e97d769b37526891442cd.PNG

I moved on to the Mizuno 5 iron which is at 23 degrees which is technically 6 degrees stronger than the 6 iron in theory which I was worried might be too much but low and behold I was finally able to get the distance I needed. Launch was still solid getting close to 100 feet of height which is solid and the spin cam down closer to 5000 while the 6 iron was getting much closer to 6000 spin which is too much for what I am hoping to get out of the club.

IMG_3163.PNG.c097be28ad9765ee4a5af324b3bfc40a.PNG

IMG_3165.PNG.9ff29adf1e14b87ee17bde0119331642.PNG

I did try the Edel SMS 4 iron but I struggled to make good contact and have never really loved super long irons. You see it as the 4h in the data but was not really a contender.

My only concern now is that the shaft in my 5 iron is now about 20 grams heavier than the one in my Edel irons. I might want to think about re-shafting it, but for now we will go into the split set and see where this gets us. I think this is a great part of what the Rapsodo can do for your golf game. Without this tool I for sure would not have realized this, and I have not in the over a year that I have been using the Edels. I expect this will really help fill in that gap at the top of the bag. I want to dive in more and do a more thorough gaping session when I have a bit more time to go through the whole bag.

Kid soccer practice = Speed training with the Rapsodo!

Hit the fastest speed so far with the green stick…110 mph.IMG_5370.jpeg.731d6e21579dd9458b2fb3dbe3f6280a.jpeg

Also broke out the Mevo and took a couple of swings…speeds were consistent between the devices.

I was able to speed train today and do a little iron practice for some gapping.  Definitely finding out that my NL 480db irons go at least 5-10 yds shorter then my Apex21’s.  My Apex21’s are in cape cod, so actual numbers will have to wait.

Finding averages for carry and total distances has really helped me in scoring.  I’m extremely pleased with the rapsodo and its ability to help my game in actual play.

Had the Rapsodo out again today practicing a bit.  Was hitting the ball pretty decent overall…pretty happy with this scatter:

IMG_5371.jpeg.03f96b346400b641e956be9d712c603d.jpeg

First time using the U505 and must say early results are very promising.  Fairly consistent shot shape and liking the height…hoping these results continue.

IMG_5373.jpeg.ed7c4e62f42a0186cfb33c5c8478c683.jpeg

Had my Mevo out to hit some shots just to compare…Mevo consistently reads longer than the Rapsodo (but also felt this way with range balls also, gave me some distances that I know weren’t true).  Rapsodo still seems a little low for carry distance, feel like the total distance is a better reflection of my distance.

Moved the net back a bit today for the session to about 10 feet from the ball just to give it more space.  Seemed a bit better.  Also read online that if the mat moves it could throw off the readings…might not be much, but after a number of swings I can tell the mat has moved some.
