GolfSpy_APH
I had great visit with the crew at TPT yesterday where I learned a lot. A little too much to get into right now, but I can see what this is a true up and coming company in the golf space that I think is only going to get better and bring more cool products to the market. Haven't heard of TPT? Check out their site and their virtual fit system - maybe takes 11 seconds? Share your results with us and let us know what you think about them! https://shop.tptgolf.com/shaft-fitting/ I am a 17 Hi for both and would definitely agree with it. KevB_44
16 Lo Tipped 1 inch...... IDK if it makes sense or not / or quite what to make of it, but would love to try one of these. Currently play Ventus TR Black 6X in the driver and really like it. Just moved a Ventus TR 7X in the 3 wood and initial feedback is stellar----not sure how to compare the recommendation versus current. cnosil
Don’t like the question about reduce face/slice or hook. I like my current shot shape so it doesn’t really need to change but that wasn’t an option. I have only hit the putter shaft so I can’t give any kind of opinion on the shafts. I probably wouldn’t buy blind at that cost so I would need to hit them. that said I was fit into: driver: 17 hi tipped one inch fairway: 17 hi fairway no tipping. Josh Parker
16 hi for both on my fitting. This is one golf shaft I have wanted to go test out. Talked to a guy that had been fitted for it and watched all the group in here have success with them. Erin B
Hmmmm, interesting! Looks like I need to go to Custom Golf Supply in Thornton Colorado to get fitted. Here’s my results on the confuser fitting: I knew my driver would have to be tipped. My Newton had to be tipped as well. I’m not actually sold on the confuser fitting because I like my ball flight. I couldn’t choose that option, so I said I’d like it to go lower, then I redid the confuser fitting for high, got 17 HI Tipped 1”/17 HI No Tipping. Interesting. Newton also said that I don’t need tipped for fairways. cnosil and William P 2 Quote I could play golf every day and learn something new each time. I don't recall what was recommended for me on the fitting app now but there is nothing better than seeing the ball flight characteristics and you may just find yourself in a different shaft as well. We (TPT testers) were surprised with some of the results of the fittings. Ditto - which is odd given the overall specs. I would take the results with a pinch of salt. Slightly off topic - did anyone cross check the tour victory claims with TPT shafts against what the winners actually had in the bag? Seems a bit conflicting if I'm honest...unless putter shafts is the claim? Meh. https://tptgolf.com/tpt-victories-since-2016 William P and Erin B
