Congrats!  We might not be the biggest forum but we gotta be up there in quality of the members 🙂

I did not expect to be back to this thread this quickly.
As said in the quoted posts I started this thread in April of 2021 so less than 2 years ago and had a total of 1600 or so posts. Then end of November I managed to get to 4000 and now 2 and half months later we are here again.
    5000 posts!
I really can't add much to what I have said before.
I am so thankful to be part of the leadership team. I am very excited for what the future holds for this forum and us as a golfing community.
Yes, I may have a problem with spending too much time on the site, but really it is all of your faults for making it so enjoying to be and spend time on.
Thank you all and see you in another 2 months for 6k?

Congrats on the 5 years. BTW - I always look forward to reading your posts. Great idea to incorporate the survey into your topic - maybe @GolfSpy_THV can extend it beyond this thread.

Does that coffee mug have a little something special in it?
It's funny how I don't do or get excited for my birthday, but this I was.
It is great to connect with similar minded golfers and MGS makes it that much easier to find them.

Congrats on 5 years. I’m coming up on 7 years since I joined MGS but didn’t become a member until finally starting to get involved in 2018.

    Thank you,
In all fairness I didn't remember as much as looked back at the profile history where everything is. My memory is good, but not that good.

Congratulations on the milestone, five years is a big one! I know it's been a pleasure for me getting to interact with you. I'm approaching four years and the knowledge I've gained and the people I've talked to on here has been amazing. This is a wonderful community and it's good to have you here.

5 Years…. A week from today celebrates 5 years of being on MGS Forums as a member. I wanted to post this on the day of, but looks like next week will be insanely busy so this drops early!
It has been quite a journey and looking back a lot has happened over those 5 years. Not only just in life, but in my MGS Forum life!
    The MGS Highlights
    - Meet and golf with @nunfa0 in NZ (Twice!)
    - Taken part in 3 completely different testing opportunities

    - Taken part in the 4 club Connect Cobra Challenge
    - Posted over 1600 times
    - Made the finals of MGS Fantasy Football (2020 season)
    - Won the 2020 MGS Fantasy Golf Golden TIcket (prize tbd)
    - Gain several new friends and learn a lot from the best online community
    - Somehow got a community reputation nearing 2700
    - Become a yearly donor
    - Countless hours of reading and too many reactions given
    - More golf knowledge then I could have ever imagined being learned, but still learning!
    And so much more
I cannot stress enough how much this community means to me, from the Fantasy sports, testing opportunities and reviews done by all, to the everyday interactions this has become an incredible part of my life and a community I am very proud to be a part of. The insight a lot of people have here as well as the pure love of golf is toxic in a good way and its great to see the membership and forum grow. With new updates each year to the forum and improvements made with each season it is exciting to be a part of and watch it evolve.
The forum has changed a lot over the years, as to have the staff and the increase of membership is phenomenal. I know there are a of lot members who have been here longer or posted a lot more, but I am very proud of my involvement here and happy to give back to this community as it has given me so much for so little in return.
I also went back and looked at my old posts to see where and what my first posts were. Of course like many my first posts were applications for testing. Although I could have sworn it was for Ben Hogan irons, it was actually Cobra F6 Tec Flow irons.

My first “real” post was on a Survey MGS put out and well I’ll link it here.
This post came nearly 6 months after joining. What was your first ever real non testing application post?
First picture I posted was of course Apollo-
Admittedly I was apprehensive about posting and lurked around reading and applying for testing opportunities. I wasn’t confident in my golfing knowledge and had never been a part of a internet community outside of facebook. It took about a full year of being a member before I started contributing regularly and that also coincided with me getting a golf membership and playing more frequently.
To sum up thank you to all those who I have met and engaged with along the way and hope to be able to meet and play more rounds with many of you in the future!

FWIW- I had rotator cuff repair on one shoulder and tenodesis on the other and, as hard as it was for me to follow their guidance, I did and they both worked out fine in the long run. They were also both scheduled in the "off season" for that exact reason

I used to watch and follow the NFL a lot more, but now I only watch the Chiefs.  I too lost interest in the NFL when some players refused to stand during the National Anthem.  Being from Missouri, I have been a Chiefs fan as long as I can remember.  We have suffered through the bad times, but the last 5 years has been very exciting.
    Go Chiefs!

The nice thing about Thursday and Friday mornings is the golf is on TV.   These are the only days of the week that I will turn on the TV.  Streaming the golf channel coverage until the ESPN+ coverage starts.

Friday morning best wishes to everyone.  Coffee in the Corkcicle mug that keeps it hot for longer than it takes to get the last drop.  Cereal was in the kitchen extension watching the windstorm moving past and with temps above freezing nothing really to see at all, the eaves lights making the backyard glow before dawn.
Today is go-time for payroll, the end of the 2-week timecard period for the agency.  Logged on early to get systems online, pull reports to see if anything could be a barn burner, make sure no employees HR actions bumped them into the default Time&Leave group and put back those that did to enable timekeepers heavy workload on Timecard Friday.  Reach out to the team to establish a positive working climate so they know support is one click away.  Monitor and assist timekeepers and supervisors while nursing this morning's brew Wegmans Breakfast Blend medium roast.
Wife on her way to work, daughter about to leave for work, Corgis taking up their positions to slumber the morning away.  On we go, with MGS on my personal computer to the side which helps keep mind sharp in slower moments during workday.

There are a few facilities there. I coached the Danish womens team at worlds back in 2018. Have several friends in Copenhagen and explored the city for a few days a few years back.

It is a great, fun and social sport  much like golf... just colder.

I used to do the same thing especially trucking. Get to the yard early fire the truck up early after the pre trip inspection. Get settled in the seat ready to go. When I was racing I got to the line up or staging area early gave me time to clear my mind and triple check my belts and helmet strap and settle down in the seat. I actually used to get so relaxed in the race car in staging I would go to sleep. When we got the warning flag to pull out the guys who raced with me weekly knew to tap my bumper or one of the officials would bang on the top of the car. One time MUSC was running tests for the med students to study heart rates on race car drivers. One of my good friends who I raced with ( and is now a MD himself) was helping run the test and he did not race that night. One of the students was monotoring me and exclaimed that something was wrong with his equipment that it was showing a low heart and respritory rate. My bud said bet it was car #39 which was me. Told the student watch this and he went down and banged the top of my car. Rates went up. He told the student that I was the only person he ever saw that could go from totally relaxed to WFO in the drop of a hat. During the race my heart rate went up some and the student was concerned. Now this was where my bud's racing knowledge came in. He told the guy naah he is not scared or anxious he is fighting the handling on the car a bit. LOL he could not resist he got on the radio and told me fighting it a little there Stuey? I told him yeah it was handling like a Mack dump truck with the tandems out of line.
