Joe Walsh
Leo Kottke
Joe Bonamassa
Luther Dickenson
Lindsey Buckingham
Mark Knopfler
Steven Stills
Duane Allman
Billy Gibbons
Vince Gill

All of the players that have been mentioned so far are great players. That's the problem...lol. There are so many really good players from back in the day and I would say there are even more very good players today. I like all of the players mentioned.
A few of my own favorites not mentioned, in no particular order are:
Michael Shenker
Ulli Jon Roth
Rory Gallagher
Dave Hole
Guthrie Goven
Bucket head
Joanna Connor
Ty Tabor
Manny Charlton
Tommy Emanuel
KK Downing
of course - Jimmy Paige...lol.
My #1 player is...... Frank Marino. I've loved listening to him since I bought 'Child of the Novelty' in 1970.

Hubert Sumlin, Albert King, and Duane Allman from the OGs
More recently, Jason Isbell and Derek Trucks and oh yeah, Billy Strings
Yes, all of them. Billy Strings is right up there for me.

Let's have a little fun!... Guitar players.
Who ya got? Who touches you down deep when you hear them play? I have a few. I have thought long and hard about who I think is my all time favorite guitar player.... the one that can bring me to tears. There are a few, but I have one that I have decided is THE MAN. Let's hear them. I'll give you mine after a few replies.

So, I have read many responces that claim walkers are faster than cart players. Well... today my brother and I were behind a 4some of walkers... 3 men and a woman. One of the men played from the blue tees. The other two played the white tees. The woman played the red tees. It took them 10 minites on every hole to tee off. None of them walked to their own ball, they followed the shortest drive and waited for him/her to hit before following the next guy/gal to their bal. This happened on every hole for 18 holes. They never offered to let us play through. To be fair, we never asked either. My brother and I could have played 18 holes in under 3 hours if not for these very fast walker in front of us...lol. We just opened another beer and enjoyed the beautiful day. I just thought I would throw that out there for all the staunch walking advocates out there. Don't read too much into this.... I realize these were not the norm for walkers.

I listed Billy but no zztop as I didn’t list bands. I could list 100s of those. I did forget to list Albert Collins. Otis Rush but there are other phenomenal players like Joe Walsh, Vince Gill, Albert Lee, Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, JJ Cale and many more
It's funny how most people think "Cocaine" is Clapton's song.

+ 2 0n the front 9. Made the turn to find an 8some on the tee box... WTF??? Asked where they came from.... was told they decided to start on the back because the front was too long to wait on. I asked if we could continue since we just made the turn.... no you can wait. We went ahead 3 holes and only played 15 holes and left. This is how it is on my home course every weekend. I wonder why I start so good and end so bad. I'm just about done playing there other than league night.

It could be gold leaf and I wouldn't pay $700 for a golf club.

I am basically a bourbon drinker at this point. My go-tos are Four Roses Single Barrel, Old Forester 1920 Prohibiton Style. or Woodford Reserve. Seems like these are always on the shelf in my local stores. I will drink a little Crown or Irish when I'm in the mood. I'm not one to chase bottles, but I do keep an eye out for the better stuff when I'm buying.
Does anyone have a good Rye they recommend?
Wild Turkey Rare Breed Rye is very good. Whistle Pig is also good, but it's a bit pricey, IMO.
What are you listening to?
