@silver & black you need this pup right here

But seriously if you’re looking into a potential rescue or something my cousin runs one (NBA rescue on Instagram or Facebook) she works with rescues all over if you’re interested. Got my hope from her

I've been looking at Bullies! They are an awesome breed.

Not very much contact,  but a friend had one growing up.  They are cool dogs.

We lost a few of our four legged friends over the years.  It was always hard getting used to a new pup in the house, and they didn’t seem to work out for us.  We waited a  few years this time, tried a rescue that did not like me at all and settled on a lab, he is a goofy SOB.

When our Dani boy started limping around back in Michigan it took the wind right out of my sails.  I rescued him from a bad situation and he was a heck of a companion.  It is so tough when it’s their time.  The one we had to give up before that, Graham... my neighbor left a golf ball out in the yard which he swallowed and got stuck in his intestines... I was broke at the time and couldn’t afford the 7k surgery.  Luckily the rescue we had to give him up to did it and he got a new home, still irked that they wouldn’t help us out and let us have our boy back.

Sorry, that probably didn’t help at all.  But these four legged friends get to me.  I am really sorry you had to say goodbye to your buddy, and I hope you can meet a new buddy that works with you.

It helped more than you know. I love my dogs... dog now. I have no one to come home to anymore. My dogs are my boys. The one I had to put down was very close to my heart. I loved that dog! 150 lbs. of big, slobbering baby.

I probably need to wait for a while before I rush into getting another dog. My other dog will be 14 in April. His time is close to an end. I love him, but he has never really been my dog. He loves my ex and my daughters...lol.

I asked about the Cane Corso because my Vet has one that needs a home. I love large dogs, but I don't know how my other dog would handle a year old puppy.

Can we start 2021 already. There have been too many tragedies in 2021. Lives lost, homes lost, people unemployed or displaced - it just goes on and on.

    Amen brother!

We no longer have a CV19 thread, so I'll just put this here. Please don't take this as me getting political. I stumbled across this interview with Professor Bhakdi on the Corona Virus. It is very interesting, and I thought some of you would find it worth the time to listen to him. Nothing more than that.

  4. Do any of you have experience with the Cane Corso breed?

The evening I had to put my boy down, my Vet brought out a dog that he said needs a home. He said the dog needs an owner that can handle a large dog. Well... I can. The problem is that I'm not home for 8+ hours a day. I was left with the two dogs I have/had in my divorce.  They were/are house broke and can handle the long time between me being home and gone. The new dog/puppy (one year old) is giving me thoughts about weather or not I can do this.

Our very first grandchild arrived this morning at 3:30 a.m. Even though we have three kids, at our age we thought we'd never see a grandchild. IMG_1377.jpeg.b61edc5bdb160f0b3e36b8455122d6bf.jpeg

Do you all think it's too early to give him this present or should I wait a bit (sorry for the sideways photo - can't seem to rotate it)

Congratulations! Enjoy! The cool thing about grand kids is, you can spoil them, and then give them back...lol.

I just found out my oldest is pregnant with identical twins. This makes six grand kids for me. I really hope this is it...lol.

I can't watch four minutes of a Patriots game anymore.

I guess that I was the archetypical bandwagon jumper.

But how often does a wagon ride last for twenty years?

It was really something, but it's completely over now.

Watching Brady-less football is like watching paint dry to me. Actually worse.

I'd rather watch the subtitled Korean RomComs on Netflix...

or even the chipmunks f***ing in the back yard.

You're watching the very tail end of the run, but enjoy, Tampa/St. Pate  fans.

Welcome to being a Raiders fan.

  7. I don't really know what I do. I think I'm aimed correctly but I seem to pull the ball left when I think I'm good. If I compensate, I usually go right. There doesn't seem to be a "just right" alignment for me.

  8. I have similar line up issues. I swear I am aimed correctly, but more often than not I'm aimed wrong. I don't know how to correct that problem.

  9. I hate math... and math hates me! After addition, subtraction, multiplication and division... I'm pretty much done.😁

I can do basic geometry and fractions because I need to in my job... and don't get me started on trigonometry (figuring compound angles)! You guys that understand math are smiled on...lol.

I went with this a while back because of what’s in it. But not much smell if any. What’s in that one?

Most beard oil has Jojoba as the main oil. Willies and Amish is no different in that, but they may have a few other different oils and/or carrier oils. I like Amish just fine, and I do use it. I just prefer the scent of Willies over the Amish. There are a lot of brands out there. I like the ones that have a light scent and aren't heavily "perfumed", for lack of a better term.
