Hmm, I saw shot tracer for $5.99 which I would probably do but the reviews were not good so I didn't want to spend that if it was not going to be any good. Do you use that one or have a certain one you use?
I use shot tracer, it works. I got it 4 or 5 years ago when it was in beta and was free. I think it does cost something now.
Edit: using android

I'm solidly in the P790 camp. It's played on tour, it's played by 20+ hdcps. It's good looking, better performing. Its so good.

If every tester shoots a round in the 60s with these I think we can say they are pretty good.

As linked above, take a look at the mgs ball test and see some great robot numbers. But since i like provide general answers if you want:
driver w/lower spin: Prov1 left Dash, OnCore X2
driver w/ average spin: Bridgestone BX
Driver w/ more spin: Srixon Z Star Diamond, Callaway CSX LS
really no way to give you an exact answer, just some options to look into.

It's either swing path, club face or both. A teaching pro would give you the best help.
But if you are trying to self correct, try hitting big push draws, followed by pull fades. Hit 5 off each before switching. do this drill every time you hit. Should help you find the feel for the right path and face angle.

a little Sunday putting practice:
this ball doesn't feel and harder then the other high compression urethane balls out there, I think it feels less clicky than the CSXLS.
Side note, need to vacuum my putting matt...

This is a fair point. There's another thread in the Equipment section looking for firm, low-spin premium balls. The X2 might just be the answer... And if you've cornered the market, I guess you can charge whatever you want.

Not sure if you guys are aware of this but Oncore typical runs a deal similar to what Srixon does, where you can buy two and get one free around Father's Day, Black Friday and I think maybe even Christmas too. That is time when I usually stock up on my X1s.
Thanks again for all the awesome feedback, it has really helped me make a decision on this ball. I think I might be stocking up on the X2 this time around!
I didn't know the run b2g1 deals, if they are doing that a few times a year that definitely brings the price into a good window with some pre planning

Much has been mentioned on the price, and everyones budget is different and where we choose to speed our disposable income also varies.
From the on course and LM numbers I have so far, the only ball that is really a similar profile to this one, is left dash.
There isn't anything else, so the price point on this is right with that.

2 round in now, played with @Ruger this weekend. The ball continues to preform as expected. @Ruger put it into play for the 2nd round and he immediately picked up 20+ yards on his driver. He was switching from the Kirkland v2, which is high launch high spin. This was a much better for for him.
He noticed that his Wedges were lower spin around the green, but very playable. He also noticed that his Wedges were chewing up the covers some.

Like the first impressions so far. I am trying to decide on a ball after my srixons all get lost and this is on my radar. Like the low penetrating flight of driver. Sucks about scoring clubs. I love feel off a wedge so this might not fly. Likely between these and one of the snell balls.
I didn't feel the same harshness on the scoring clubs in rd1 like @GregGarner. I doubt I was hitting them as pure as the guy who shot 3 under.... so his feel might be better but I didn't feel anything that made me think of them as harsh.

They are very, very similar. I think the X2 doesn't compress as well on short irons, though. I get a much more solid feel from XLS at the low end of the bag, at least through one round of testing. I'm hoping it'll dry out and I'll be able to get a good side-by-side comparison with XLS and Left Dash.
I don't a left dash to check, but from my LM testing the XLS and the VX2 have the same ball speeds Which isn't surprising with their compression being about the same. VX2 is lower launching and lower spinning for sure(with a driver).

First round in the books with these. And they are definitely a golf ball. A little lower on trajectory then I'm used to, but plenty of pop coming off the driver. It was the first round of the year I've played in temperatures above 55, and it was a nice 72. So hard to give a direct distance comparison as less layers and warmer temperature help for sure. But i was able to reach a 510 par 5 in two.
Irons and Wedges were what i would expect. My only complaint through rd1 is the alignment stripe. The gold"x" in the middle of it is really hard to see in sunlight and really just isn't there. Which then breaks up the line. For me, this is a miss.

Got to get some base LM numbers with this today, compared to my current Srixon Z-Star ◇... i was impressed. The LM has some real limitations, it doesn't know or care about differences in dimple design, and parameter weighting is also something it can't show. So, I'm be excited to get these out on the course tomorrow and see how they do on grass.

The face tech on the evnroll is nice and all... but find the putter that feels right on takeaway and let's you get it back to square consistently.
I have an ER2, used it for 2 years. But never was really comfortable with it, picked up a TM spiderx one day and without even hitting a ball the club just moved the way i wanted. If you are looking at putters in that Evnroll/Bet price range, you really should look at the L.A.B. putters.
Or save $300 and get a Cleveland or Wilson

My best advice would be to make your chipping simpler. Probably use a less lofted club, take your wrists out of it and choke down.
If I'm just off the green, I'm taking basically a putter stroke, keeping the heel of the club high(as mentioned above). And I'm using just enough loft to carry the ball onto the edge of the green and roll out from there.
It's a lot harder to screw up a PW or 8i bump and run than a 56 or 60 fly to the hole.

Also, since OnCore got wind of our collective HDCPs and they wanted the test to last longer than 4.5 holes of golf, they upped it to 3dz balls! Thanks OnCore.

From the sage of astroid killing drill teams:
Oscar:
Great, I got that "excited/scared" feeling. Like 98% excited, 2% scared. Or maybe it's more - It could be two - it could be 98% scared, 2% excited but that's what makes it so intense, it's so - confused. I can't really figure it out.

I haven't gotten any on course testing done since last Friday, but in an effort to be a thorough as possible, I'm leaving Washington state tomorrow and heading to Florida. I want to see how these do in high heat and humidity.
