Custom Fitting At Its Finest

At the heart of Edel's brand is custom fitting. This is especially true with their putters, as their fitting carts host most options with the available “modular” build. If you have not experienced an Edel putting fitting, it should be on your bucket list of golf things to do, as they offer a truly unique experience.

The new Edel Array brings another level of customization to putters and features several new options.

These include four different models, with all three mallet designs now being available for left-handed golfers. There is also a single right-handed only blade design available.

The other options include four different neck options, two alignment aids for the blade, and six for the mallets. As well as five sole weight options, four grip choices, and a Tour Lock Opti-Vibe Weighting system for internal shaft weighting options.

That is a lot of options in one putter!

What Edel Is Saying

Edel says their Array putters are “Machined to the tightest tolerances for exacting precision. Each putter features a striking surface forged and machine-milled from 1025 carbon steel, known for its superior sound and softer feel. In tandem, head shapes and multiple alignment plates offered by the Array Putter line create a very powerful solution to aim bias."

The Testing Opportunity

We are looking for four testers to test, review, and keep an Edel Array Putter they are fit into. The selected testers will share their fitting experience and testing experience with our community to see how this new line truly performs!

Are you interested in being a tester for the Edel Array putters?

Moving on... who else is similar to me and almost more interested in the fitting than the product itself?

I have a feeling that the fitting process is going to be one of the most interesting parts of the review. I remember reading about it in one of the previous Edel putter tests and thought it was cool that they used different head weights, putter weights, hosels, and alignment aids to dial in alignment for different players. Not that the on course testing won't be interesting, that's the validation of the process Edel uses.

The combination of the fitting process with the putter geometry and weight adjustment will be most interesting. I am slowly working through a trial and error weight, toe hang, and counterbalance process with my Cure RX-5 (yes I know it’s ugly, but it works and golf’s not a fashion show for me). I am finding that a very heavy head with heavy counterbalance works best. Then on to toe hang. With the Cure I can easily adjust lie to fit. I wonder if the Edel lie adjustment is by bending or by an array of preset heads/shafts. Loft does not appear to be adjustable, but maybe it is somewhat by bending.

I watched a Fitting online with Edel himself. The info he provided about where the alignment was on the putter head was intriguing. How you visualize your line is huge in getting the ball started on the proper path without having your brain trying to manipulate or compensate due to your head tilt. Would love the chance to try one of these! Thanks for the opportunity.

I'm curious about the fitting process and if the blade putter is even the right one for me.  I've been using the BT-2 for 23 years, and with the Garsen grip it is a solid piece.  Can the Edel modularity do it better?  I do need another club to test the MAX with... 😆

Thanks to MGS and Edel for making this possible. Given I have a virtually no-name putter ( Golfcraft) I really need to upgrade. Regardless if whether I get selected or not a putter fitting is my goal this year.

If you make putts with it , it doesn’t matter what it says on it 😁

Getting fitted is important. I went to Club Champion with my Ping Anser and after 10 minutes Matt bent my putter to 2* of loft (it was 3.5*) and moved me from a 34” putter to a 35” putter and it dramatically change my game !

A lot of sign ups for a very intriguing test.  I strongly considered it, but after hemming and hawing, decided not to.

Pretty happy with my current putter and didn't want to fork out for the fitting.  Thought it a better opportunity for someone else.

STRONG START TO THE TESTING SEASON !!!

I don't believe 2024 testing could possibly top last years, but early returns say I just may be wrong about that.

Keep up the fantastic work Forum !!!!

As someone who has always attempted to custom fit myself through trial and error or through more scientific means (The PING Putting App), I would love to go through the Edel process- it looks so thorough and complete.
Thank you for this chance!

Another great testing opportunity and we are only in February!

This would be an absolute dream to chosen for the test. There would be no hesitation to hop in the truck and drive the 3 hours over to their Fitting Studio in Liberty Hill to get the full experience. Thursday and Friday work from home days are normally spent rolling putts or beating balls during my lunch break, so there would be no lack of data generated.

Although I do love my 20 year old hand-me-down Rossie, an Edel would be the icing on the cake to my full bag overhaul I started a year ago.

Good luck to all who enter!

I've been using a Probe 2.0 brass double sided blade for about 5 years after I discovered my Odyssey Red Ball couldn't swim.  I'm a lefty and I was never a good putter except on those long breakers that don't mean anything.  When I was afflicted with the serious yips, I putted right handed until I was ablle to right the ship, which took about 3 weeks.  I tried lead hand low but it was very awkward but worked when I putted right handed.   I missed a 14" putt Monday playing alternate shot. I hate letting my partner down.

I live in Florida now so I can devote 12 months to test the new putter rigorously.  Swimming is not an option because my home course has NO water which was the developers plan.   My putting is so bad I had to resort to an ace so I wouldn't have to putt.

Genius solution !!!!

Wish I had thought of it.   Actually, come to think of it, I did get my first last summer, but didn't realize it was only to avoid having to putt it out.  Think I'll try it again, LOL !!!!
