FedEx Cup Playoffs

Well that’s something we hadn’t discussed but it will be now. The schedule change moved this tournament into the heart of thunderstorm season the Southeast just as it has created some potential issues for preselected PGA venues in the Spring.

Very sad and fortunate it wasn’t worse.

Definitely. Golf Channel article makes it sound like it was more debris from the strike that injured people rather than them being struck by the lightning itself. Scary stuff nonetheless.

The lightning strike was on the news, scary. Lucky no life threatening injuries.

Does it really matter if you are killed by a being impaled by a branch or electrocution?

It’s a disaster either way particularly since the event was originally contracted to be played in late September when the risk of this sort of weather would be minimal.

The tour should flip its PGA venues to the tour championship and play the next several PGAs at East Lake.

Of course that won’t happen -

Playing later in the day with a 30 player field in late August in the southeastern US to accommodate TV!

What could go wrong?

Rory vs Brooks final pairing would be a great way to end the season.

A win would be a big boost for Rory in that scenario - would be great to see him back dominant.

The X - Man sitting 1 shot back is not something I would like being BK. That kid has the killer instinct... just ask Woodland about the TOC this past year...

That's a fact - great ball striker who is not afraid to go low. I'm finally engaged 🙂

I’ll watch a bit. Haven’t had a chance to enjoy watching golf since round 4 of The Open.

Just think... pretty soon we will be talking about The Masters.

Hope that lost ball isn’t the deciding factor for BK.

True that. He’s as mentally tough as it gets. If anyone can claw back it’s him.

Indeed and in good company. Would really enjoy that for Rory - he's had a good year and yet he feels like he has underachieved.
