@3Putt4Double +2 1/2 length. How tall are you? I'm 6'5", so I’d probably need an extension on new clubs.

Quick update for everyone. Started some testing in the backyard last night.

My current T300s are .5 inches short and about 2 degrees flat. The PXG Black Ops are standard LLL.

My 7 iron T300 length: 36.5 - My 7 iron BO Length: 37.5

I struggled with this a lot last night. I was hitting a lot of shots fat and very frustrated. That said, my 26th shot with the new 7 iron (to me) was incredible. This is the distance I hit my 5 WOOD.

I know I have a lot of work to do, and this shows the capability of the club. I hope the fitted length becomes less of an issue.

You're still in the honeymoon phase with the club, but once you get it, you'll find it’s going to be seamless! 😀

See I'm 6ft3 and have a 36in wrist to floor. And I fit normal clubs. My buddy is 6ft4 normal clubs as his wrist to floor is 35.5 ish. Running a plus 2 we wouldn't be able to hit anything.  Super weird to me that with longer arms you got such a longer club

I should be golfing instead of talking smack on the web.

Perhaps my measurements were a bit off, but when I get new irons, I’ll be sure to get properly fit.

Everyone is different.  You might be a much more upright posture than us which would change things too. Don't go off my numbers I'm far from a pro fitter.

38" wrist to floor, well with no shoes on.. The length felt great! Actually a Sub70 fitter I met in a clubhouse was saying the same numbers for me🤷.. He didn't fit me but in conversation he was saying I need a +2" after I told him I got my clubs I have now 1/2" longer

Here is a static starter guide for wrist to floor vs height.  One of the keys about getting fitted tho is this isn't dynamic.  The chart says I should be plus 0.5 and up 1 degree. Reality for me was I'm best at a stock 37in for a 7 iron but -0.5 lie. Or 62.5 on a 7iron. Realistically I can swing any stock length shaft. If you do some of the weird questionnaire fittings out there you're gonna end up goofy. The vice questionnaire wanted me 1in long and up 1.5 on lie. There is no substitute for a good fitting.

Excellent chart. It says I should be standard length, but 2* up (6', 36.5").

Vice online tool says +0.5" length, 0.5* up.

Sub70 online tool says +1/4" length, 2* up.

Granted, Vice's online tool also recommended the 60g A-flex graphite iron shaft for me. Maybe not the best for 83-85 mph 7-iron speed. 🙂

I think another thing to keep in mind with charts like that, is that "Standard" is different between manufacturers, sometimes even within a manufacturer. For example, a "standard" 7 iron in a Mizuno 241 is 37" and 61.5* lie angle. A "standard" Vice VGI02 7-iron is 37" and 63* lie angle, while a PXG Black Ops 7-iron is 37.5" and 62* lie angle. Of course that's not accounting for the loft differences between the clubs, but still, if you are comparing 7-iron length, just depending on the brand could change what standard is, so +1/2" on a PXG might be +1" on a Mizuno.

Haha I  thought the same thing. I actually ordered the vice irons. Half the price of the pxg gen 7 and 60 return policy I had to try them. It recommended the 60 gram regular flex for me. I said naw and went 95 grain stiff shaft. I swing 85 on the 7 and 8 iron and driver is 103to108 usually.  Regular light weight shafts have zero dispersion control for me and whip around like a wet noodle.

Pxg charges 25 for a fitting. If nothing else go find what shaft and length is ideal for you before listening to these online tools. They suck.

Yeah excellent point I forgot to mention. Just like lofts. Lie changes inside the brand and across brands. It's almost annoying that there isn't any consistency to judge on.

I 100% agree. It's so annoying how different everyone's length and lie angles are for the same club. I have a chart (spreadsheet) where I've stored all the lofts, lengths, and lies for any club I've been considering (PXG, Mizuno, Maltby, Takomo, etc), so I can see them all compared quickly. I need to add Vice to my spreadsheet.

Finally, hope it doesn't take long🫶

You'll probably have them in less than a week. Their standard time frame I see on the FB fan page is  about 5 days.

My first set showed up in 10 days but I chose shafts that were back ordered 🤣I'm actually jealous . I currently have the new vice on order and it's 4 weeks ish. The gratification is less than instant by comparison.

10 days with back ordered shafts still isn't bad really.. The xcor2's were completely stock head and common shaft so they pushed them out faster than a woman having her 6th child

I'm obviously not as tall as you all, just a short 6 ft'er here, but the fitter thought I could play a 37.5in shaft but bumped me down to a 37 because he said I come in low with my swing. So there could be a few things that come into play. Did you start with a normal length shaft and essentially adapt your swing to it? Just a thought.

Good point..when I hit an iron u can't even tell a ball was there bc my club never touches the earth, ever.. Might be the logic behind it

I have my fitting for these irons at the South London Store on the 22nd August. Very excited to see how they go and extremely grateful to the testers for their insight to the process. Looking forward to hearing more about how they play! Keep up the good work fellas!

Yeah so....ummm.....not for me. I hit longer clubs off the toe (will post pics in my main post), I hook, not fade, and we will see on average distance. Granted...it's not like the irons are swinging themselves, but still lol
