You think your game has gone south!!  I saw two weeks ago that Steven Bowditch had 4 rounds in the 80's, but I didn't even know he was playing this last week at the Valspar.

 

From the Golf Channel website... "Fortunately, he snapped a run of five consecutive rounds in the 80s, but his form chart has seen better days. His last eight scores on Tour: 80-72-81-80-80-84-81-76. Time for a break."

 

Except for the fact that he was playing on tour, those rounds could just as easily have been mine.  So, my question is:  At what point does the PGA Tour say to a player, "Don't come back until your competitive"??  Should a player be relegated to the Web.com Tour for a period?  If he is playing this poorly, the spot in a tournament could be given to a lot of other players that can lit it up.  Just sayin'

Nope, if you earn your card you're good for the duration of the card.  I wouldn't want to see a guy punished for a bad couple weeks.  He earned his way there and deserves to stay until he has to qualify again.

If the PGA did try to dee Tee a player for bad rounds, then would he have to fight his sponsors and give money back?

That's called struggling, life of a tour player, he is a very good player, fortunately when you fall, sometimes it's hard.
