Hey keeping it under 30 was impressive. Not many teams are able to do that. Great season for the Oregon St. Women hoopsters.

Yeah, it was ugly to watch, but not unexpected.  UConn has had a great team for a long time, and the Beavs were in unchartered territory.  I was just happy to see that they got to the Fianl Four.  I'm playing with a buddy of mine today that is a UW grad.  We can commiserate together!!

I watched a little bit of the UW/Syracuse game and thought that UW better hope it looses this game because it would have gotten really ugly real fast had UW played UConn.

Oregon St. played well and did not embarrass itself.  Because of the injury the Syracuse game becomes intriguing - normally its death to press UConn but they could get tired out playing only 6 players - if that's the case and Syracuse can keep it to 15 or so going into the fourth quarter it could get interesting.

UConn is normally able to play much faster than its opponent though and the starting five is relentless.

I'm a huge UConn fan Kor - I can see a way that they loose - they lost once two years ago so I know how it happens -

Here's how:

1.  The refs have a quick whistle and a couple of UConn players, particularly Moriah Jefferson, get into big foul trouble - without Samuelson they are down to 7 players that they would want to play in a game.

2.  Syracuse continues to make all of its threes - not likely because UConn guards the perimeter exceedingly well but anything might happen.

3.  The Syracuse press wears down a depleted squad.

It's been an amazing run - 124/125 its better than the Globetrotters vs. the Generals and the Generals were trying to lose!  But it does end tomorrow night either way.  UConn becomes very good and has a chance to repeat next year but not a prohibitive one - they will loose a few games next season.

This season they are just soooo much better than everyone else, there may be a chance as you say for them to lose, but from what I've seen this year, they could play with 4 players and still win. I'm not a fan of them at all, but I wouldn't want to be playing them his year. I would love to see a competitive game as we did with the men's game tonight, but I think this one is over and they still have 18 hours or so before they play.

Not much of a game the other day. UConn was just way to much for anyone, the Women's NCAA needs to figure out a way get some parity in their game, realizing the talent pool is much smaller, not saying there aren't excellent talented players, just saying there aren't as many as the boys, and when all of the best ones go to the same school, it gets out of hand quickly, they need parity, but I think it starts with some better coaching, again there are some really good coaches in the game, but there just aren't enough really good coaches, so you take a small talent pool and spread them over the 10 schools with really excellent coaching and programs, and you get to the point where only 2-3 schools have a legit shot at the title, Tennessee for Long time, Notre Dame, and UConn, Baylor for a couple years, but those schools have dominant coaches and that's where all the talented players want to play. That's just my opinion on how I see it.

I don't care about parity. If you want to win then work your ass off and get better. I feel the same in golf, I hate it when people give me strokes.

I'm more talking for the game overall, the product is lacking because there is no parity in be women's game, some people are just better than others it's just what it is, but when all of the better players all go to the same teams m, then I don't care how hard you work you will not catch up, ask Syracuse, they worked probably harder than UConn, but the talent of UConn was too great, nothing wrong with that, but the product as a whole is lacking something. Again this is just how I see when watching the women's game.

I can tell you right now that no one works harder than U Conn. Geno does not care who it what you were coming out of High School, if you don't work, you don't play.

I'm not saying that UConn doesn't work hard, I'm sure they work very hard, I'm talking more about the overall women's college bball game, better, more talented players = better, more talented team. There's always 3-5 teams that have that mix, none more so than UConn, once to get past those 3-5 teams in a tournament setting, the rest cannot compete, and this year it happened that no one could compete with UConn. This is the same type of scenario that occurred back in the 80's with the men's game, all of he relented players all went to the same places, even if they sat out as a freshman and sophomore they waited so hey can be dominant for many years, nowadays on the men's side many have figured out that they can be a star as a freshman at a smaller school and by many players doing that it has brought more parity to the game, a side effect of that is that many don't stay in school more than a couple years before going to the NBA.

Steph Curry is a prime example of this, he could have played and starred for any team in college, but he went to Davidson near home, and was a superstar there.

Steph wasn't recuited at all. Davidson was pretty much the only school that took a chance on him.
