  1. I echo the hat comment. I tend to buy more hats then polos. Only problem here in the humid summers, my hats get very sweaty and I go through them a lot. If it’s a hat I like a lot I’ll buy two, one for golf and one for wearing around haha
  2. My 56 and 60 probably ever 1.5 years. I play about 75-100 rounds a year so they get some use. My 50 maybe every 2ndd or 3rd year.
  3. Wanted to go back to a different shape with still some toe hang and was sent to trade for this beauty. Also got the L Series 120 wedge shaft from LAGP for my 60. Looking forward to putting both in play this weekend.
  4. You can ask a mod for a template and do the unofficial review. I think all feedback of an experience will help those on the fence to have another data point.
  5. I’d also considering getting the fairway wood from a different source than club champion and I know there are people on here who can help with LAGP shafts. You can sell the stock shaft or try to find head only. I know for me, I want what I was fitted in so I don’t have 2nd thoughts. I think you can getnclose to your budget going through different parties than club champion. Happy to send a contact via pm.
  6. I am a big golf pride Mcc fan. I am going to give the tour wrap a go shortly too but love the Mcc and think it offers me best combo of comfort and performance.
  7. Mizuno clk 4 hybrid with a Tensei pro blue 80TX. The only hybrid I’ve ever been able to hit consistently. I loved that thing so figured I’d get a 3 hybrid for a different gap and sold the 4 and the 3 didn’t work out. Still wish I had that hybrid.
  8. Grass today at my range. Only twice a week unfortunately so I took advantage and did a full bucket of all pitch and short game 120 and in. Then a little driver and mid irons and back to short game to finish. It is such good feedback when on grass compared to mats for touch shots. I hope it translates to my rounds this week.
  9. I’d say 120x in 52 and then a soft stepped 120x in the 56/60. I believe it would e using the 8 iron shaft.
  10. I’ll echo the above statement. If you hit full shots especially with a gap wedge a lot of times people will keep same shaft from irons. I’ve found success having the same shaft or if I am playing dynamic gold x100 or x7 to have s400. It’s slightly softer to flex but heavier. When I played project x 6.5, i kept the same shaft through the entire irons and wedges. Some keep the same shaft and soft step it. As stated above, wedge fitting is best but general statement would be to find similar profile to irons and maybe even keeping modus 120x but soft stepped.
  11. Post some pictures of the bag you end up with. Will be cool to see the mix.
  12. We some bag. Love the oil can vokey. What driver and utility are you looking i to?
  13. Have a warm front this week so far in Charleston area. 80s the last two days. It’s nice to play when I can feel my hands and not have so many layers on.
  14. Thinking of a hybrid instead or to switch out with my driving iron. I thinking would give me more versatility than just a driving iron I only use once a round.
  15. Rolled 50 putts on my perfect puttting mat. Helps me with confidence on the course to make the short ones and trust the line on the ball.
  16. I would echo the higher lofted woods. My dad and FIL benefit from more loft and a shaft with a softer tip to help with launch. My dad recently got fitted for Ventus red 5 regular straight untipped but is slightly higher swing speed
  17. The left dash has been the best wind ball for me. The low spin really helps with keeping balls from ballooning.
  18. I have tried different balls in the past Vice, TP5/TP5X, TOUR BX BS, but always find my way back to pro v1 for competitive rounds. I like the left dash but pro v1 is where all my best rounds have come from. Probably because I am very familiar with it and know how it will react to different shots.
  19. 43/38 today. I started with two doubles and a bogey through 5 so pretty happy with how I came home even when the front was a struggle. All with only one birdie or could’ve been the best round of the new year so far. What’s really helping is this honeymoon period with the new triple diamond. I am hitting a lot of fairways and giving myself good opportunities to score.
  20. I’d love to say nothing will change but that’s just not going to happen. Thought I could and then the triple diamond came out in lefty.
  21. Exactly it would drive me nuts and in the hot humid summer if I had a slip and I wasn’t cleaning my clubs I’d be upset for making a preventable mistake
  22. Reading the article makes me want to buy a bag when I have two nice bags at home. What a great thorough write up on different styles. I know now if I get another bag it will not 14 dividers to save some weight and carry instead of use my push cart more often.
  23. We do a lot of two man tournaments out here and it is best ball and not scramble. I’ve had most success with two things. Picking someone you enjoy playing with/knows your game well and someone who is a good compliment of strengths. For the first one, having someone you enjoy playing with helps me relax during the round and if they know my game, they can help when something seems off or not freak out if I have a few bad holes. The 2nd one helps me specifically because I can get hot depending on my driver for our home course, but can also have a big blow up hole. Having someone for me who is more steady to give me the confidence to go for my strengths helps us. Knowing if I go OB my partner will make bogey at worst helps for sure.
