  1. You don’t have to play a triple track ball to make it effective. The purpose of any alignment aid is to obtain consistent setup. If those lines help you place the putter behind a ball more consistently then they are beneficial
  2. Enjoyed the write up. Sounds like you were able to collect some meaningful data and show that you can get a good fitting at a store like PGASS.
  3. Having hit the TLess driver, I can tell you there is nothing in the big OEM market that is similar. It is a higher spin high launching club; perfect for a player looking to get the ball into the air. Works in fairway, rough, and bunkers.
  4. Been hitting the Gen 4s and all I can say is that they are a major improvement to prior year models.
  5. Dont disagree that it is outside the head. But that fact in itself shouldn’t. make wedge CG location any less important. I’d have to listen to the video again but pretty sure Ian does mention that the CG is outside the head.
  6. Based on Titleist fitting I am going to compare the V1 against the AVX. Been plying the AVX but the online fitter thought the V1 would be better.
  7. It is worse when it happens in the playoffs. Cost me a playoff win a few years ago.
  8. Tried it and it doesn’t fix the problem. I have put the ball inside the clubhead and still have toe hits. I have reached the point that I need professional help.
  9. I know and I am probably just inside that with the adjustment. I am thinking I stupidly listened to all the rotational stuff and now rotate and pull the club inside which causes the toe strikes. Gonna have to retrain the brain.
  10. Good call; given that I read about changes coming from Edel and that he went to get his putter updated it makes perfect sense.
  11. I’d choose home setup but I’d have to do some home renovations to have a place to use the skytrak.
  12. Was at MGS last night so I figured I would work on iron shots and try to reduce my toe hits. Definitely something I am struggling with. Ball back in stance has helped a little but not “perfect”. Thought about what Adam Young talks about and changing intent. This helped as well but it made my path go way in to out...7* range. To minimize path I opened my stance which reduced it to the 2* range. The open path gave me better contact location but I had the tendency to hit a straight pull. It is interesting that I am not appearing to suffer from a lot of distance loss on the toe strikes, maybe because I am holding the club too tight. Got kind of frustrated after a while and really went after the ball and was able to increase distance by 10ish yards. Face, path, and impact location were no better or worse. Obviously have more in the tank based on that, but the whole swing seems messed up. Gotta get to a range and film my swing. Lots more practice and direction needed.
  13. Heard the secret line before as well. Interesting statement on the CG and wedges being BS when TXG posted a wedge video that talked about the CG location and how it impact flight and spin. Not saying either is right or wrong; just an observation since I can’t prove one way or the other.
  14. I think your limited numbers look fine. Why do you think you need to change? What changes have you made to your swing that make you think you need heavier or heavier and stiffer?
  15. Adding more on the ping test that I saw. What the video showed was that with the groove technology ball speeds in the center were down when compared to non Evnroll type grooves. As the ball missed from the center ball speed increased. This is because there is less surface at the center of the groove pattern therefore less energy is transferred to the ball as you move toward the toe and heel there is more mass so more ball speed. This causes balls that are hit offcenter to go the same distance as center strikes. The other aspect of the grooves that is sometimes discussed is line correction. To my knowledge evnroll is the only what I will call Mainstream company to state this. I think pyramid putters also claims line correction. Since heel and toe hits tend to close and open the face at impact the grooves are supposed to direct The ball back toward the target line. Other than the two mentioned companies I haven’t seen and independent testing that shows line correction
  16. There have been some; mostly done by each manufacturer. The best one that I can't find anymore was a video done by Ping when they had their face milling.
  17. Don’t judge flex by swing speed; that is an outdated way to pick a shaft. That said it is impossible for us to tell you what shaft or head since we don’t know you launch conditions. The only way to know which shaft to pick is to hit them. That said the ping tour shafts always seem to get great reviews
  18. I am with you on this. I don’t like the look and the sound of the on in the players distance category; don’t know the model, just didn’t sound right to me. I like a muted sound on the irons and this had a click sound.
  19. https://forum.mygolfspy.com/topic/18813-how-to-change-your-signatureadd-witb-a-judgesmails-guide/ I think this is still right
  20. I was bored one night and watched the livestream of one of the sessions with Kyle Berkshire. While equipment is getting better, watching this shows that distance/speed is a learned skill. How far can the human body go, how fast can we swing, how fast can we run, etc. slow the ball coming off the face, I’ll just learn to swing faster! Bryson is the first and I believe he is still learning and hasn’t reached a stable point to allow him to play consistently good golf. We see lower lows but the ceiling hasn’t come down enough. Once it does it will force other players to adopt the strategy.
  21. Generally when you go ultralight you have graphite as the only option. There are some ultralight steel shafts but I personally think they are the exception which is why hybrids and driving irons are typically graphite. Overall graphite shaft have significantly advanced over the years. You can now get them up to 130gr. Given the right shaft you can get the exact same performance you can with steel. The only drawback would be cost since graphite shafts are still a bit more pricy. Don’t worry about speed or anything, people including long drive players use graphite in their woods and hybrids. We are now seeing pga pros venturing into the graphite space.
  22. Decided that I putt better with lighter weight blade putters so I am thinning out the herd. Prices listed include shipping in the CONUS. If you want any additional photos or have any questions let me know. If you are interested in the putters but think my price is too high, shoot me a message the worst that can happen is I say no. Odyssey Ten S - Putter is 35.5" and has a BGT Stability tour shaft. The putter should be 35" but I apparently didn't get the superstroke grip fully seated and as a result the end of the grip is a little frayed from bottoming out in my bag. Included is the Odyssey stroke lab weight kit. I bought the putter used and wanted to try a lighter weigh so I bought the kit; when I pulled the weights in the putter they were 10 grams and not 15 grams like I expected. After putting together the photos, I noticed that there was some grass on the bottom of the putter, that isn't a scratch or damage. Price: $old shipped CONUS EvnRoll ER 2.2 - Putter is 34", 370 grams headweight, and EvnRoll pistol grip. Price $old shipped CONUS
