M.Duchesne got a reaction from Vegan_Golfer_PNW in What equipment are you thinking about?
It would be having the Cobra 2020 Speedzone driver with a Aldila  Rogue light weight stock stiff shaft at 10° of loft, plus a set of Left Hand Cobra Forged Tech irons with Catalyst 80 regular flex shafts 1/4 + shaft length fitted, and 2 good wedges, a 54 and a 60 Callaway Md5, tour issue shafts, I would keep my old Pal Pro Balance Daiwa 8511 putter ( been reproduced in Japan with a gold finish same Goose neck shape under the name of Daiwa III but way to expensive) with a new same weight regrip, plus also a Titleist 19 degree hybrid, and a nice 2 iron.
Srixon z star soft feel balls , a nice towel, a pair of brand new G,Fore white 10,1/2 size shoes.

Brandt Snedaker still has his old 20 years old Odyssey mallet in his bag,There has to be a reason for this .? I have met a guy with a "Heavy Putter" brand making excellent long puts.Good for.him.not for me ...the best would be to have 20 to 30 different models lenght and gripwise ,then put all day long to finally stick to one among them..
Science has not proven me anything yet abou microhindge,or elastomer inserts stuff etc...it doesn't come with a usage instructions booklet .
Guidance is from up above I think.

I have an old Ping putter that I use that I won't swap for anything new. I like the looks, feel, roll and I know how I perform with it. Putting is the best part of my game. I will not mess with it at all!

I still only buy into this in a limited way.

Here's why - the access that a pro has to equipment is far beyond what is realistic for most of us. It's his job, we have lots of other distractions. In many cases he is being paid to use a piece of equipment which can the be tweaked or even over hauled to make it work.

99 percent of the time the pro will have a huge advantage in familiarity with his putter over any of us because he's using it for two hours every day of the week either to practice or in competition.

It's not the same. I would argue that a recreational golfer (98 percent of us) who doesn't take advantage of putter technology to help mitigate against mishits and gain consistency is putting himself at a disadvantage. Those putters build in what the tour pro practices in.
