After doing some research, all from the data on most wanted, and after hearing from no putts given, I ordered the demo set from Sub70. They should be here this week, and I cannot be more excited to test them out. Its perfect timing work has slowed down, and my parents are coming into town this weekend. So, that means I will get plenty of range time, and test the two clubs in a weekend full of golf. Can't wait to see them in action!

Long story but we can't sell the hats.  I'll say this...if you ever place any kind of order (demo club, towel, hat, bag, etc) just let me know and I'll get one in there.

Thank you for all the advise, I really do like the idea of the one on one, and it being hands on. Short game, long game they have plenty to work with on me for sure. I am going to open my mind and have my goals and go to work.

Howdy, I am Corbin. I am currently living in College Station, Texas. I have been playing golf for about 10 years, except for a couple years when I was in the military and could not get to golf. I just started getting back into the game within the last year and a half.  I am at 11.5 hcp, and working on lowering that this year.  I love the challenge this game brings, and the people I come across while playing. I enjoy always working on improving my game.  I came across MyGolfSpy while researching club reviews, I was looking for new clubs and wanted more information that what I could find on YouTube.  I stumbled upon this forum, and instantly knew this was different and I wanted to be apart of this community.  I am living in College Station, and my home course is The Golf Club at Texas A&M.  The best thing about playing here is that I get to play golf at least 9 months of the year, and I get a great tan while playing.  The worst part is that judging the wind is sometimes tricky.  I am a Driving instructor and safety operator for a logistics company.  My user name is my first initial of first name and my last name followed by my class year. I typically play with random groups of people so I need to work on getting pictures taken on the course, I will work on getting some added this year.

I am a fan of NOT doing the online thing but going to a local PGA professional.  I like one on one interaction.  I like learning from them, practicing what they showed me and then telling them about a particular shot I hit because of a drill they gave me.  They tend to take more of a personal interest in my game then an online instructor.  I would go to a course and find a PGA pro, be honest with them about goals and let them do their thing.  Become a blank canvas.  Typically, they will have you hit some shots so they can just look at your swing then go from there.  Some will focus on the short game first and work up to the long game, some will start with the long game and work towards the short game.  Like it was stated earlier, just go in open minded.

I've done GolfTec and it helped A TON. I did a package of lessons with a fitting at the very end to get my specs for a updated set. If you go this route, I'd recommend getting a lesson every 2-3 weeks and go in to use the hitting bays between so you can practice and see what you're doing. the visual feedback was super helpful for me and they'll give you 1-2 things to work on between the sessions.
    Good luck and enjoy.

    This right here.

Use your military experience and let your instructor teach you.

The only thing I’d add is that any decent teacher will ask you what your goals are. I’d suggest setting ones that are tangible and reasonable.

    Good luck

On the Lob Wedge - I just did that 2 days ago. Select Sand Wedge and then pick the appropriate loft. I've got a 56* and a 60* and that approach worked for both.

I bought the swing caddie a year ago with hopes of getting my yardages dialed in for the new season. I did some research, and figured for the price I would give this a try.
Unboxing: it came in a nice, sturdy box. The directions were simple to understand and very easy to setup. I did not take me long to input the lofts for all my clubs.
Pros: I really like the fact I could adjust the lofts for each club. It came in handy as I have changed clubs, and sometimes when my friends want to give it a try! It does take in account for the elements, I don’t have any other monitors to test it for accuracy, but I have noticed it does change my distances do change accordingly. Yardages seem accurate enough for a casual golfer as myself. When I go out on the course, my good strikes do seem to match with what I get from the monitor, and has led to more GIR, better proximity, and lower scores.
Cons:  Depending on your ball speed with fairways and driver, it struggles with ball speeds over 150mph. Likewise, if clubhead speed is too fast it has trouble reading it. Still, it will pick up most of the shots,  and for myself all I’m really looking to get out is carry, trying to work on building a consistent swing, and maybe a little ego. When I work with my wedges and pitch shots, if I add loft it does not pick it up and adjust. I do check with these shots because they are close enough to check with rangefinder.
Overall experience: In my opinion, it was well worth the price. I love that I can adjust lofts, and it may not read every stroke perfectly, but other than driver 75% seem to match with eye test. It has taken out more guess work on the course, and better scores makes me happy.

Nice write up. I've had mine for about a year and still like it. Although I would like the data capabilities of the 300, it's just not in the budget for this year.
