  1. I just ordered a 4 iron 0211. I have gen2 0311 , and wanted to get a 3 iron for off the tee, but they’re no longer available so I got the 4 instead. The feel is awesome on the 0211 so decided to save $40 and get 0211 rather than a gen3 3 iron since the lofts are so strong on the 0211 a 4 worked well. Enjoy the new sticks.
  2. I guess I’m in the minority ,but I don’t find these types of events all that exciting. As much as I enjoy women’s golf I just don’t care for this type of format. With that said, how is there not one of these type events with someone versus Korea?
  3. I like the old e6. Before they went to the soft or speed options that I never fully understood. Probably the straightest ball I’ve ever played and a decent amount of spin.
  4. Using it as entertainment. A robot hits it pretty much the same every time, and I definitely do not. I have used many different balls, and know what works for me at this point. I’m not going to change because of the ball test or ball lab. It’s fun to look at, and talk about, but not going to make me change.
  5. I have not seen any. Some of the courses have online specials though.
  6. Strokes gained has clouded the way we think when we play golf. The idea of hitting it as far as you can is godd, but the second part of it is where you can play your next shot. The gaining of .3 or so strokes is greatly outweighed by the full stroke lost punching out of the woods, or even worse 2 strokes by going OB. So it seems to me the 3w would actually gain strokes for you in a round.
  7. I have played Arroyo and Angel Park. Arroyo is a very nice course. There’s a lot of space between some of the greens to the next tee, but that happens on the courses that meanders through a neighborhood. It’s in great shape and was fun to play. Park is good, but didn’t really make much of an impression on on me.
  8. This is my favorite place to plyin Vegas, but there’s many good opinions. The Paiute courses are all great and in spectacular condition. A little out of the way, is Chimura and it’s a nice course that’ fits in your moderate price range. There’s more as well but the one’s mentioned in the thread is a great start.
  9. The pxg fitter here brings you back to check everything so I’m surprised that didn’t happen for you. He’s also very accommodating if you feel there is any issues and see if there’s any adjustments that need to be made. So I would reach out to them and see what they can do for you.
  10. The strokes gained has a flaw. It is not course specific. Handicap brings in factors of course difficulty, but strokes gained does not. The strokes gained method doesn’t bring in to play factors like wind, sand traps in your line, slopes, and other factors. The strokes gained method relies on data, and on tour the data is 100 plus players on the same course on the same day. That’s not the case with the strokes gained method in real life. There’s not data except yours for the distance and lie, but not how the course is playing if you’re tracking on the golfmetrics app. My point is it generic and doesn’t consider factors a course may present. Is it useful yes, but it has flaws like the “ traditional “ stats do.
  11. Great article. I’m happy to see Lydia coming back to her form. Was very happy Minjee won her major. One of the big surprises I saw was the 4 wins for Thailand players. It’s been a fun season and the future of the LPGA looks bright to me.
  12. I had the same realization when I was fitted. I figured I would be a prime candidate for the pxg 0811 xf due to where my handicap is. I was surprised when they was the better fit. I have actually moved the weights to the front to reduce spin since (lessons changed my swing a bit).

    Evian

Yealimi seems to be finding her game now in her extended rookie season. She definitely has a bright future. With her Luci Li and Rose Zang the future of American women’s golf looks bright.

So happy for Minjee! She is my favorite golfer and always root for her. Now she’s finally got her major.

The time difference, and lack of coverage in general, makes it difficult to watch any of it. I do follow along online, and noticed Lee6 hade herself a day! It’s nice seeing Yealimi playing well recently. Surprisingly 5he Korda sisters are not playing well.
  16. It’s so much of this. He is presented as being so smart, but let’s face it he is not. What he is doing carries a large margin for error. So when he’s off it’s not going to go well, but when on it can be incredible.
  17. Thanks. I have a couple extra small notebooks that I think I’m going to use since I keep score on my phone. Just going to track approach shot club used (7 iron and in) the distance and result. Chipping pretty much just if it was long or short. Putting approximate distance and if it was long or short. The course I play has free yardage books so I m going to put some dots with a sharpie for a visual of where I m hitting to. It’s a bit of work on my part, but should give me a true representation of what’s going on and not just what I think is happening in my game.
  18. Interested in how you track this as I have been considering doing this as well, and have been thinking about how exactly to track it. I feel like I’m always short, but I want to see it so it can sink in.
  19. I didn’t watch. I think this style of a match has run its course. Maybe an LPGA team vs. PGA tour team or a couple amateur (unfortunately would need to be celebrity’s) in a best ball scramble vs a tour player. I don’t know something to mix it up. It’s nice because it donates to charity, but this format is quite boring.
  20. Because it’s summer and I used black ones for the testing I’m not wearing them right now. They are comfortable. I tried other spiked shoes and could feel the bumps where the spikes were, and couldn’t with the Squairz. My biggest concern was they are heavy and not good for walking.
  21. Thanks for posting, and writing. The big movers on the priory list are not surprising as they seem to be playing well this season. I’m very interested in the new commissioner. What did a great job, and I hope she can keep the momentum going.
  22. This is my exact set up. My pw is 45* so the 48* is pretty close to the same, but it’s been working well for me. The pw is from the set and the 48* is different so they seem to covers the gaps well.
  23. Must say it’s funny that iron covers are made fun of , but somehow alignment stick covers are acceptable.
  24. Lexi was awesome today. Not a big fan of the golf channel coverage though. Did they even show anything from Inbee and Shanshan? I know they didn’t have the best days, but not showing them is strange.
  25. Agree. If she can keep it together tomorrow there’s a chance, but come Sunday the margin for error is going to be very thin.
