fozcycle
http://www.mggolf.com/m400laser.asp?ru=0%20target= Well, MG Golf has done it again. First they create the best gloves on the market at an affordable price. Next they produced a ball better than the Pro V1 at half the cost. Now they have manufactured a Laser Rangefinder for only $150! Features: Get the accuracy of a laser rangefinder at a fraction of the cost of big-names. The M400 measures distance within ±1 yard from5-438 yards (5-400m) but costs $$$ less. PinSeeker technology. Measures the distance to the nearest object (e.g., when a bunker is behind a pin) which helps you easily lock on to the pin. Compact size and light weight makes it easy to carry. Small (only 4.1 x 2.8 x 1.7") and light (only 7.4 ounces), the M400 grips comfortably in the palm of your hand and is practically nothing to carry in your bag. Crystal clear optics. High quality 5x magnification lens with large display helps ensure quick accurate readings. Has adjustable diopter of ±5 to customize to your own eyesight correction prescription. Conforms to USGA rules for tournament play. Comes with handy carry case, carry strap, 3V lithium battery, microfiber lens cloth, and instruction manual. 60 day money-back guarantee. Don't like it? Return it in good condition within 60 days for a full refund of the product price, no questions asked. jbil8802
If I didn't already have a rangefinder I wouldn't hesitate to buy it. I've been thoroughly impressed with their golf balls and their gloves. PlaidJacket
Foz I've been thinking about that one lately. I've been wanting a newer laser RF over my old.. old inaccurate Bushnell. This one is fairly basic as far as newer model LRF's go but I think it's really all I need. I've never been disappointed with any purchases made from MG. UPDATE: I just called to ask a question and order one. My question was concerning the pouch carry case. Sounds like it would be along the same lines as other brands provide. However, they are currently out of stock for the next 7-10 days. I'll call them back then to order and make sure it's still the same model. jsides
I saw this a couple of days ago so this past Tuesday I ordered the M400 along with a couple dozen Calloway Crome Speed balls. I figured that with a 60 day return policy, I'd give it a try. Much to my surprise, it arrived the next day (Wednesday). I have used it a couple of times and compared its accuracy with a high end Bushnell and a more comperable rangefinder. I was pleased with the results, with the M400 being spot on or within a yard of what the others were showing. It seems to be well made and very easy to use. I'll see how it performs over time but if it keeps up like the first couple of outings, it appears to be a winner.

fozcycle
Finally got to try out the M400. Seven of us played a "dry" course in Z-Hills yesterday.....I was able to test the M400 rangefinder from Master Grip Golf(MGGolf.com). It took me awhile to get my hands steady, but I soon got the hang of it. I also had my gps(Garmin G6) on me so I could compare distances. I found that the M400 was within a couple yards of the Garmin, (once you repositioned the Pin in the Garmin.). I am sure I will get better at it as time goes on. I found that when I could not hold it steady, I could scan the area where the Pin was and look for a significan drop in the yardage. This was usually the Pin. Mike Z
Edit: question withdrawn - I see it in the thread title now. i was wondering because with my Bushnell you dont need to be as steady with pin seek on. fozcycle
I tested the Laser on Saturday for the Par 3's and several approach shots on Par 4's.........I was always within a couple yards with my Garmin G6 GPS. PlaidJacket
Foz, I'm really enjoying my M400. I can't find one thing wrong with it. It's just works. Just yesterday I had the occasion to size the M400 up against a more expensive Bushnell model. Distance accuracy... No difference. Speed? No difference. Optics... good. Magnification... slightly less but good. I can't see at this point by I'd spend more. The M400 is a very good value. I have yet to purchase anything from MG Golf that isn't good quality. Gloves, balls, shirts, laser range finders. PlaidJacket
Just received an email this morning about the MG M400 Laser Rangefinder. They have reduced it from $150 to $130. And... it's now available in white as well as the black model. This is a good device/deal fellows. Edit: Unless you just feel like you have to have a Bushnell or other famous brand of rangefinder or want to spend $200, $300, or more this RF does a great job. Just saying.
