PlaidJacket
Edel putter fittings are not "out of this world". I suppose some of you must have had a completely different experience than I did. Unless Edel trains and presents a different fitting than I went through at their Headquarters it's nothing remotely special or "out of this world". I could have come up with a similar fitting technique in my own garage. All it takes is a $3 laser pen light, some green cloth, a plastic puck, and a piece of string. Hardly out of this world IMHO. cnosil
Edel fits for aim. The premise of the fitting is to find the right putter configuration you need to aim correctly. Technically you can do the test on your own but you wound need to obtain the putter configurations to see what works best I personally prefer to fit for impact sine that is what influences where the ball will go when hit Driver: G400 Max 9* w/ KBS Tour Driven Fairway: XCG7 Beta 15* w/Fujikura Fuel Hybrids: 915H 21* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype 915H 24* w/KBS Tour Graphite Hybrid Prototype Irons: TR20V 6-11 w/Vizard TR20-85 Graphite Wedge: 54/12D, 60/8M w/Accra iWedge 90 Graphite Putter: Sacks Parente MC 3 Stripe Backup Putters: Milled Collection RSX 2, mFGP2, Futura 5W, TM-180 Member: MGS Hitsquad since 2017

Hardly out of this world IMHO.Would you have all of the different weights for inside the shaft, in addition to the various head weights, grips, hosels, necks, lengths, etc, etc, etc? Pretty cool that in one's own garage they can come-up with over two million adjustments and specifically weight a club...For one who has never been fitted for a putter, it is "out of this world". I was at Callaway HQ and their putter fitting was, "Which one do you like?" "Putt some with it." "Ok, which one do u like best?" SeeMore was static only. Ping, static only, except for length of shaft. Current Edel fittings are more than a laser. If that were all that it was, it wouldn't be a big deal... 2 million combinations would sure be tough to do in a garage, but if u can, u can make some money fitting people! Sschaffer24
Plaid wouldn't that signal to you that the fitter was well trained and able to diagnose your needs quickly? A short and less intensive fitting doesn't make it bad. Something that seems effortless may have taken years to master. I would argue that having the fitting performed at headquarters would virtually guarantee that level or preparedness. I've been through a multitude of fittings in my golfing life and can say without a doubt the most accurate, influential and amazing of them were the Edel wedge/putter fittings I've experienced. Modern Golf is a different beast and was just as good. Guess what? A super expensive Quintec Putt Lab verified that my Edel Putter wasn't only a good fit, but a PERFECT fit for my stroke. The fitter hadn't experienced that before. He recommended no changes. The only other carry over clubs in my bag? My Edel wedges. I simply can't beat them. All of this was achieved through the system you can design in your garage. If that's the case, get that system out there and sell it! Make yourself a fortune. Kenny B
I like the looks of Edel putters, but the head weights are too light so it's a non-starter for me. Also doesn't help that Edel says that head weights are getting too heavy, thus the counter-balancing. “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

GolfSpy Barbajo
I went to the facility outside of Austin and I gotta say, the experience was an eye opener. Listening to David Edel and Rob Gallagher speak it's clear their fitting system is the living culmination of a lot of experience, study and thought. I went in with an open mind, no preconceived notions and a lot of questions, and learned an awful lot about how the system was developed and why they feel it works. As a result I have a putter I'm 100% confident in. The facility itself - I love it. It's a machine shop and people work there. It ain't fancy, but then again, neither am I. Made an old plumber feel right at home, and everyone I met there was the kind of friendly you just can't fake. Was it fancy? Nope. If you're looking to get pampered, you'd be better off at a spa.
