JohnSmalls
I have to snag some new irons before too long. I saw a video recently on youtube pitting new irons vs. the Eye 2's. Now I am debating whether to buy some Ping Eye 2's or do what should be done and get fit for new irons. I can't deny that those Eye's are awesome! JohnSmalls
What color dot are you? Per nflight online software and the ping color code chart I am a red. However I measured myself--and am 1/4 of inch from being a black dot. As of right now, either or. I really need to go be properly fit. The BeCu irons are very nice, but much more expensive. Except for the early Eye 2's, they will have U grooves that are not legal anymore for USGA and pro events. The Ping Eye 2+ models have stronger lofts which, although not as strong as todays irons, might be more suitable for your play. I can tell you that the wedges will absolutely shred a soft covered ball in no time! I think they are still outstanding clubs. “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

dang3rtown
I was playing eye2's until a a couple months ago when I picked up my hogans! They are nice clubs but they just don't have the distance of modern club design. When I got back into golf, I picked them up because they were super affordable and I knew they were a good club. I highly recommend anyone looking to get back into the game go this route. You will get much more quality for your dollar than buying some used SGI irons from a couple years back.
