jkittlesen
Had my first premium Cuban cigar from the Cayman Islands today. What an enjoyable smoke this is. Great construction perfect burn and wonderful taste. Forgive me for drinking the Kool-Aid , but this is one great cigar. I also have some Hoya de Monterrey Deluxe, looking forward to enjoying that cigar next. This may sound bizarre but I enjoy smoking my cigars with root beer. tommc23
Not odd at all. The sugars and the vanilla taste sometimes bring out different flavors. Its the same as certain whiskeys taste better with ice or neat. Something to think about if the vanilla taste that you're getting off of the soda may play into your palette. No3PuttLaLa
Monte No 2 is one of the most classic Cubans out there. It's honestly one of my favorite Cubans. Great stick! Headhammer
The #2 is great cigar and gets all the pub, but I personally enjoy the #4 much more. BForrester
I've got one that's been sitting in my humidor for about a year and a half. So far, I haven't been overly impressed with the few Cubans I've had (Cohiba Edicion Limitada 2015, Cohiba Maduro 5, Partagas Serie D #4, and a Romeo)...I still find myself gravitating to the higher-end, full bodied Nicaraguan cigars. clarney1
I've had a few of these and I can say hands down my favorite cigar of all time. I'm buying a box next time I'm out of the country. Quote Mid-high handicap looking for more consistent gane Link to comment
Danny Im
Monte #2 and Partagas Serie P #2 are my favorite Cubans that I have had. BUT...Cubans are just not worth the money anymore. They are more hype than anything nowadays. There are plenty of cigars from the Dom. Rep. and Nicaragua that are just as good and better than Cubans. Such as: Oliva Master Blends 3, Oliva Serie V Melanio, Arturo Fuente Don Carlos and Chateau Series, Perdomo Champagne series, and of Padron. Just to name a few. Quote Link to comment
