JohnBarry
Here is a quick pic of a few that remain in my small collection: Cameron guys might recognize the Colorado Springs putter as one of the "FOV" covers from a few years back. Vog and I have a friendship that has lasted over many, many putter discussions and carried on for 13+ years. That cover has a permanent home. The Club Byron and Slighter Club covers were from two of my biggest heros in the putter game. Both have been incredibly supportive to me and they are two of the nicest guys in the game. Both covers were from their first year with a "fan club". The Sunset Beach cover was from our first run of covers and is the only one of this model that never went out the door. Not sure how it wound up not covering up one of our customs, but I saw it on the way to take this picture and figured it is a big part of my work, so it came along. The nylon "MannKrafted" cover was hand-decorated as a substitute while my first run of "real" covers were being stitched, here in AZ at AM&E. Sad part? The only one of that original run that remains within reach is on a customer's putter and I may not get it back, LOL. I am replacing it with the bold, new MannKrafted logo that is on the white ultra-leather cover, but the guy doesn't seem too excited to give that old one up. May have to have another run done of my original Retro Oval logo and offer them up...... Well, sorry for the long description, but each cover has a short story and I am glad I had the opportunity to share. Thanks, LaMont in AZ MannKrafted GolfWorks SSB's Custom Garage Guy Great covers, and welcome also! putterplating
Thanks Morris. The only problem with it is the opening above the flap. I dinged a putter because the heel was sticking out. Good thing I know a good refinisher who fixed it!! The next version has no flap and is closed all the way up. http://www.putterplating.com/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/27785952@N03/
SPY VIP GolfSpy Dave Posted March 11, 2010 SPY VIP Share Posted March 11, 2010 Is that closure magnetic? Will the next generation have a magnetic closure? I ask because I read that some people are getting heel dings from the AME snapfits. putterplating
It is a magnetic closure. One of my new designs has magnetic closure. One problem is that it makes using it on a carbon putter a bit of a hassle. The magnet sticks to the carbon. http://www.putterplating.com/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/27785952@N03/

Doesn't open at all, the back "opening" is covered with flexible lycra/neoprene or something that stretches when you put the putter in. RookieBlue7
That cover had such a cool story with the random 1 of 1 hand painted cover that Scotty sent out. Sale on eBay for 10K. I am always glad to see a cool Cameron cover gamed rather than stored in a box as an investment. It didn't sell for $10k. It got up to $10k and a serious collector contacted the owner and they worked something out. He never disclosed what all he got, but I'm guessing it was some kind of putter and cash. TWShoot67
He did a good job...believe it or not they are harder to make then meets the eye. Most local places don't want to mess with them. Are you saying putter headcovers are hard to make or the embroidery? I can't see making putter headcovers that hard. Now making ones that work and don't fall off and get lost I can see that.... I like the new Bettinardi with the scuba material better then the velcro or magnetic closure but they all have their faults. Maybe I should look into designing something better that has function and durability? They always seem to loose their power to hold on, from all the in and out of the bag. I believe having the separate slot on outside or front/back of bag does help a bit , but most headcovers seem to get destroyed(crumbled up) much faster then say woods in general. I know we use the putter on every single hole most times so it gets the most use, but for some reason maybe the simple long sock attached to normal headcover might just do the trick. Just not as cute, then again who knows....look how well Rocket and Jan Craigs do..... RookieBlue7
This one came in today, and I couldn't resist customizing it a little...
