Awesome article from Harry! Would love to see more in this series and was a fun read. This is certainly different from some of the content on the main site, but one I really enjoyed and gave me the itch to get out there playing.

Give it a read here: https://mygolfspy.com/how-difficult-is-whistling-straits/

I always enjoy golf course reviews and especially reviews that speak to playability or fun factor. The one nit I would pick is Harry's argument that the golf course is "easier" from farther back since he felt his drives were landing in pinched zones or bottlenecks. He hits it around 300 yds and basically he was saying that there were a number of holes where, from the 7,200 yd tees, the landing zone narrowed at 280 yds, for example, whereas from the 7,600 yd tees the landing zone would narrow at 320 yds. He was saying it would be easier because he has more room to land his driver from farther back. I totally understand that BUT playing shorter means that instead of trying to land your driver in a landing zone, you now have the option to hit an easy driver OR a 3W/5W and be at the same place in the fairway you would be from farther back, right? So does he mean it is easier because he is still trying to force driver at the shorter distance?

Note: Harry is a much better golfer than me and I am not trying to tell him his opinion is wrong or he should see things my way. I just don't always grasp that argument of it being "easier" from farther back.
