Torrey Pines rates are a steal for military members!

Recommended Posts

Not often can you travel the US and play PGA tournament courses for under $200 but if you are a military member, you can get on for under $50! Torrey Pines was the location of the 121st U.S Open in 2021 and the farmers open in 2022. This course is only 20 minutes from the San Diego airport and about 15 minutes from Pacific Beach. For a visitor, a round at Torrey will cost $223 during the week and $278 on the weekends for the south course. For residents the price is $63 during the week and $83 on the weekend. Luckily for military members, you can apply for a San Diego residency card through the city website for only $25. They will use ID.ME to verify your status and you will be on your way to enjoying some amazing golf on the San Diego coast for a fraction of the price! The only caveat to this amazing deal is that tee times will fill up extremely quickly and I personally recommend paying an extra fee to book in advance! This deal also applies to the north course at Torrey (just as beautiful). If you have any questions about my experience or questions, feel free to comment below.

I play division 1 hockey as a primary sport and golf as much as possible during the offseason.

Love this - I had the chance to play the South Course a couple months before the US Open and it was an INCREDIBLE experience.  And you are right, its a STEAL for that much (I payed the full amount unfortunately).

Note - the second pic is of the Tournament tee-box, which had a carry of 225+ over the cliff 😬

You say military can get on for under $50 but then say the resident price is $63.  Wouldn't the price be $88 ($63+$25 for the residency card)?
