Josh Parker
Does anyone else alter the grinds on their clubs? I used to do it on my wedges to change the leading edge or to take some off the back but would always make up the weight difference with lead tape. I recently got a DI from sub70 and the leading edge just didn't sit right for my swing or preference so I decided to take the grinding wheel to it. My Srixon are very flat across and this had a bow to it. GolfSpy_APH
Not something I do, but I have considered it. Main issue for me being I don't have extra clubs I want to experiment on quite yet... Josh Parker
I think I started doing it because being a lefty the club selection was so limited and I had seen other wedge grinds and started trying it on a 60* Quote Paradym TD Driver w/ Ventus Blue 6S 3W MKII ZX 5's (4-6) w/ KBS Tour V MKII ZX 7's (7-PW) w/ KBS Tour V Vokey Wedges 50* 54* 58* DF2.1 Putter

Rob Person
Seeing as it's a driving iron, will it promote a cleaner/lower contact point with the ball? I tend to have a little steeper path and with the club having more of an arch to the bottom I was finding that the turf interaction was turning the clubface slightly. I flattened that out some and made the sole more like my Srixons. Shapotomous
I did this to my cleveland 588 wedges, but i was buying them used for about $35! I couldnt do it to a new $150+ wedge. Heck i couldnt bring myself to hit the new black finish sm9 out of a trap but used a raw finish in a different loft for sand shots! The edison wedges have a dual grind so i dont need to self grind now anyway. cnosil and Rob Person 1 1 Quote Modern Bag: G410 LST 10.5*, Hzrdus Smoke RDX 6.5 Flex; 915F 3w, Diamana S+ 70 S flex; Snake Eyes 18* 2h, 23* 4h & 27* 5h; JPX 900 Forged 6 - PW, PX LZ 6.0; Edison 2.0 49*, 53*, 57* KBS Tour 120 S; Heppler Fetch; Ball - MTB-X; Bag - Jones MyGolfSpy Edition! It was a tough choice on the DI and only made small adjustments until I hit it but I either attempt to make a change or it won't get used. McGolf
As a fellow Lefty, I just tested mizunos 241 (blade) and the new 245(hollow body) They sit pretty flat too. Very nice as options for the better player and average one.
