Would you rather... Masters edition

This is too easy.  Play the course.  I have been to the Masters many times and it is without a doubt the most wonderful place to be in the spring.  I have experienced the full monty and have so many memories up there before they started the lotteries, and was able to use parton passes on the weekends thru friends.  To be able to play Augusta National is the holy grail.

I have been to the MASTERS tournament a dozen times. I attended the EZ-GO training for a week and they arranged a tee time for the 12 of us to play Augusta National on Friday morning (Jan. 1988). But it snowed that morning and the course was closed----I came so close to playing there.

Play! Going on Saturday and Sunday are not the best days in my opinion. I have been many times on a lot of different days and I like Wednesday the best.

UPDATE 4/3/24:

I will be attending the Masters this year (for the first time!) so I will have to re-assess upon my return. Now that I finally get to be there in person I feel like I would probably rather play 

UPDATE 4/16/24:

Back for another update as promised. Can't rave enough about the Masters experience. ANGC does it up right from the free parking, to concessions, to crowd control, to how they treat the players and patrons. The experience is truly top notch and I had an absolute blast. That being said, I think I would rather go earlier in the week for the practice rounds and par 3 contest then watch at home on the weekend.

So to readdress the question, if I got to choose I would take playing at Augusta once over lifetime tickets. The course was immaculate, so much that it looked like they were playing on turf. Absolute perfection. And even though I probably wouldn't break 150 there is no where else as pretty and as perfect as Augusta National.

I've never gotten tickets, and have never been to the Masters, but I would still easily select playing the course only once, NO QUESTION!

If the weekend ticket package includes Berckman’s Place access, I’d absolutely go that route.

And I’d also parlay my annual attendance into the following:

1. Reach out to every conceivable media outlet with an offer to cover the weekend with a column.

2. Secure deal and receive press credentials.

3. Enter the journalist lottery to play Monday, following the tournament.

4. Bide my time enjoying the greatest weekend of the year until my number eventually comes up.
