My father didn't start playing golf until he retired and we enjoyed several rounds of golf together before he died.  During one round, on a par 3, my father's tee ball went into some trees right of the green and completely out of sight from the green.  His second shot ricocheted off several tree limbs and came to rest just off the green.  Since he couldn't see me, I picked up his ball and placed it right next to the hole and congratulated him on a great shot.  He was so excited, I didn't have the heart to confess what I had done.  For several years, up until his death, he loved telling the story of the impossible shot.   

Most of the time it's 30-40 minutes early. Light warm up, putting practice and then getting set for the round. 

I try for 40 minutes.  Gives me 10 to loosen up on the range,  10 to putt, 10 to chip and 10 to check in and find the first tee.

I try to arrive 20-30 minutes prior. What I do to warm up depends on the available facilities. If there's a range, I'll hit a small bucket to warm up and see what shot shape decided to show up that day. I'll rarely even hit the full bucket, it's not a practice session. If there's no range, I'll swing my Orange Whip for a bit to loosen up my back and hips. 
I'll hit some chips/pitches if they have a green available for that, if not I'll go straight to the putting green and practice short and lag putts to get a feel. Then it's off to the first tee. 

I try to get there at least 20 minutes before my time. Plenty of time to get my gear and check in without being rushed. If it's a tournament or I know the course has a range and I want to warm up, I'll try to get there 45 minutes early.

I'm usually 30-45 min early, check in and grab a small bucket then stretch out and organize the cart. Trying to spend 1/3-1/2 of the time I have left on the putting green getting the feel and the rest of the time on the range/chipping area. 

I find when people are late it bothers me just as much as playing behind people who are supper slow.
30 minimum should be required.

I've been on a really good trend of late following up an 81, 79, and 78 with a 38/38 yesterday at Granite Falls South.  That's the highlight... now for the return to earth.  One of our Thursday group regulars brought his 14 year old grandson who plays on the JGA out of Scottsdale.  He was in the group ahead of us and I noted that he had a good looking swing and that he dropped several longer putts.  So we roll in after play for the results and payouts and the group say's nice round Bill but Beau beat you by 4 strokes... say what?? 😮  3 bogies and 3 birdies for an even par round from the white tees. 
Afterwards, a few of us left were chatting about his play and one asked how I felt getting lapped by a 14 year old.  My response; the only thing worse would have been that Beau was Betty 🤣.  Pretty damn amazing.

Well, the BC Men's senior and super senior championship is in the books, 3 days of fun, very competitive golf, I finished stronger with rounds of 73 on Tuesday, and 72 yesterday, I guess I won't be quitting and starting a horse farm quite yet lol..
I started out day one tied for 58th after a bad 79. After finishing with 73 on day two and 72 on final day I moved up tied 20th. 
Always learning and trying to figure this crazy game out lol...
