Morning all, Beautiful day here in Saskatchewan and courses are starting to open. Should've been open last weekend, but mother nature decided to give us one more snow.... pretty much all gone now, and all courses should be open by the weekend.

So, you carry 5 wedges?
Quite a bit yes. On my home course yes.
To get to 14 clubs I have to pick 2 out of 62, 2 iron, 3 wood, 5 wood. So course dependant.
At my home course I usually take 62, and wind dependant on the other as hole 1 is a pretty short par 4 if you go over lots of trees but only need about 235 carry. Easy 150 lay up. I always go for it and I'd say 5 wood is in my bag the most. 62 is in unless really windy at home.

full swings no. But on wedge matrix I choke down for all partial shots. If I want carry 3 less yards I choke down more, for 3 yards more choke up.
So my 97 yard 50 degree shot is only to 10:00 keeping my arms stiffer than full shots. It results in around 6000 spin instead of 10000. I find approach shots much easier than in the past since incorporating this into my game.

I had the Garmin s62, and used every round for a couple years. Then it just stopped working. I called Garmin, and unfortunately my warranty was up. The Rep said send it back and they would send me a refurbished unit. I was pretty pumped and happy about the great service. Once the refurbished unit showed up, I used it for 2 rounds and it died.... same problem.
So without any tracking unit atm. Unsure if I would go the Garmin route again as that was extremely expensive watch to last only 2 years.

Yes, I've gotten better from strategy and course management videos. Swing tips videos probably not.

My dog looks dead, lol. He had a hard day of destruction... laying in a pile of garbage. Floor underlay, drywall, someones coffee cup, all stuff he collected from the yard

with lessons just on my iron swing last year, a side effect was my driver carried 30 yards further with no speed or driver training.

I agree with everything in the article.
Biggest one for me was to get rid of the 120 yard slice, lol. Which is covered under lessons. Whenever someone asks me for a tip, I say go for lessons.
Wish I started my lessons 20 years earlier, could've stopped a lot of pain and despair lol

If you happen to go the clicgear route. As someone with all the attachments, the steering knob is the best attachment without a doubt. It takes about half the effort to push the cart, and doesn't put extra strain on your wrists when turning or going up a hill. Worth every penny. Buy it first.

Morning all!
Think its going to be a great week!
Yesterday I had my first lesson out of 10. Apparently I let myself get lazy on a few parts of my swing, lol. Was hitting more crisply than before.
Got to play a 4 man scramble on the sim tonight, so hopefully can golf well.
Driving Ranges are pretty much all open now, and courses opening up slowly. Lots opening on the upcoming weekend. Way earlier than usual. So hopefully be golfing outdoors next weekend!!!

I have a GC2. Probably best buy for the buck nowadays.
-No subscription fees for GC2
-works with most to all software
-great for sim golf
-portable
-can buy replacement batteries, and replacement flash modules
I did upgrade from the original skytrak, The difference was night and day, even though my skytrak was set up perfect and didn't have too much delay.
If I was to upgrade it would be to a Uneekor eye xo2 for an overhead unit, and club data
As a warning to others, some of the cheaper ones do not do well with simulation software, or the shortgame sucks, or no putting. Do your research if you want to go the sim route.

This was fun last season. I never started posting scores until the end of the season. Next season I'll post from the start.

xbox for 14 years I think now.
Playstation remotes are for people with small hands. Not sure if they smell like cabbage, lol.
In reality it probably doesn't matter for me as I only play 2 games, and they are on both systems.
I just really wish for all games on both systems they allowed cross platform play.

I've posted a few videos of Ripper playing with his bucket lol, but here is him and his sister Beth. They love staring at the back of my head through my office window.
Great guard dogs, word has spread throughout the deadbeats. Only had one guy jump the fence since the dogs came... he was back over the fence as quick as he could move once they saw him, lol. Especially Ripper. I have a customer who comes in my office lots. He always says, "man I wouldn't want Ripper chasing me."
Haha my office window glass is so scratched from them.

we have one at our course. It's basically for people who can no longer golf, but enjoy being at the course or supporting it. It only gives them 10% off Merch and food.

Sell 3 mulligans per team for 10 bucks each (completely optional). I think that helps with the sandbagging, and makes more $$ for the fundraiser.

I've been doing Axius core for over a year. Pretty sure it changed my life. Core is key in golf, and I had no core strength before, lol.
I've always been active, but I'm 49 now and being active just isn't enough anymore. I was starting to fatigue around the 14th hole, and lose focus. And back pain was creeping up on me due to the soft core.
And let me state this; I hate working out! Haven't lifted a weight since first week of university like 30 years ago, lol.
Axius core is a 30 minute workout 3 times a week, and has really strengthened my core and helped with flexibility. Between lessons and this at the end of last golf season I was mid 170's ball speed with the driver. A year before I was having trouble getting over 160 consistently.
All sessions are set up, then recorded and reviewed by a Titleist tpi strength coach, so all my workouts are custom for me, and focused on muscles and flexibility that will help specifically my golf game. I've had a rotator cuff injury, and she's aware of that when setting up my workouts.
Never had abs before, maybe an ab haha. Worth every penny in my opinion.
Least favorite tour player.......and why

Tiger Woods.
Great golfer but also a very self centered and arrogant person, even though the media portrayed him as some godly icon. Not even a nice person but most people didn't care as he'd been engrained in your minds as synonymous with golf.
I never watched golf for years as the only person you could see on TV during a match was Tiger, even if he wasn't playing good, they'd show him over the tournament leaders, over, and over, and over again. Even if your favorite player was in the top 5 you couldn't watch it cause Tiger was on the screen. Really made me give up watching golf for 10 years as how do you follow favorites when they got zero screen time? I see the PGA still hasn't learned this lesson.
Thus the rise of tours like LIV where everyone gets coverage. Like who cares what kind of sandwich Tiger was eating.... show me golfers in the hunt!!!!
