  1. As an anti-hoarder I don't see the point, but I guess people do it for the same reasons people collect anything else (art, sports memorabilia, comics/cards, etc.)...
  2. Based on most reviews on the major golf forums, the shafts have potential but an alarming failure rate. I had one fail, they replaced it, it failed and I filed for a return. They said they’d credit my card back and that was documented via email. That was in December. A few weeks ago I finally had to fill out paperwork to do a charge back on the card I used to get my money back.
  3. 130 gram. Helps to keep me from attempting the worlds fastest backswing. 6i club head speed in Trackman is right at 100 mph. I’m currently in X100, but have spent a season each with PX 7.0 and X7’s. I didn’t see much difference and it’s easier to find deals on lightly used clubs with X100’s installed.
  4. At the moment - 4 Cobra (driver) Srixon (3w/irons) Cleveland (wedges) Taylormade (2i/putter)
  5. I need to go back to soft spiked shoes. The spikeless options are okay, but I feel like I slip around some occasionally. I also want to try a Newport 2 putter (or similar design). I've been in a mallet for 4+ years now.
  6. I think the winners look good, but I’ve had bad luck with the durability of UA shoes. I just spent two months getting two pairs of HOVR Fades returned for credit after both soles split in a matter of 2-3 months. They only advertise warranty service if you purchase directly from them (I purchased from Amazon). They did eventually give me credit that I ended up using for clothing instead of shoes.
  7. External. If anything, I think of the golf club as a Jai alai “cesta” and that the ball is already attached to it. I’m just throwing the ball to the target. You could also think of one of those tennis ball launchers for dogs.
  8. My son has the 939x 3 wood and 3 hybrid. They perform as well as any other 3 wood or hybrid. There is some draw bias in the hybrid, but it seems to be manageable for him. The only negatives I've seen so far is that their isn't weight options for swing weighting and the finish on the bottom of the club is coming off pretty quickly from impact. But it's not like you see that when playing.
  9. The DG/PX shaft bands are stickers. My last set had PX labels that were worn/torn from use and I removed them with a heat gun. I used goo-gone for the left over residue and you couldn’t tell they were ever there.
  10. Srixon ZX5 w/PX HZRDUS Smoke Green 70 in 6.5.
  11. The win for fairways hit with the taller tee seems to go against common perception/instruction. Lower tee height should lower launch, decrease distance, and increase spin but all three of those should contribute to more accuracy/fairways hit.
  12. I haven’t heard of this either. My club provides plastic tees and sells drinks in plastic bottles. I do try to pick up tees left on the tee box and put them by the tee markers for people to hopefully see and reuse.
  13. My last set went 44, 48, 54, 60. Currently I’m at 46, 50, 54, 60. I don’t think it matters so long as you know your distances and how to take some off of each club. I rarely full swing my LW and prefer the added loft for short game shots. I use a LW for the majority of my chips/pitches around the green.
  14. I'd be willing to play. Anything but the working out only option because I already do that. However, even the non-radar tests need access to radar for the starting and end swing speed numbers.
  15. They look like a solution in search of a problem.
  16. If I were in the market for new clubs and had the money to blow I would be looking at Miura TC-201’s. Second choice would be Srixon ZX7’s. Third choice would be Mizuno MP-20 MMC, though I wish they would have made a SC model over the MMC.
  17. I don't have any pictures, but I'm aceless and have been playing around 7 years now. It took my dad about 30 years to get his one and only ace.
  18. Probably a made-for. What value would there be in faking the shaft unless the entire club is fake? Does the head look/play like a legit head?
  19. 1 at the moment. Sometimes I’ll have 2-3 pair at once. I’m definitely not a collector (aka hoarder).
  20. Last price drop - $375 shipped. Going to eBay in another day or two. PXG 0311T Gen 1, 4-PW w/PX 7.0, 38” 5 iron w/62* lie, Z-Grip Cord midsize, D4 SW. Lofts: 44, 40, 36, 32, 28, 25, 22. Original owner, purchased Oct 2018. Clubs were re-shafted/re-built by Impact Precision Golf about a year ago. Paintfill on sole/iron numbers started chipping at some point so the rest was removed. Shaft bands/labels have been removed. Was $450. Now $400 shipped continental U.S. or best offer. No trades please. I'm willing to sell the heads or shafts separately if there is any interest.
  21. Sounds like they've improved, but still aren't worth the MSRP to me when last years Srixon and Bridgestone tour level balls can be found for around $25 a dozen.
  22. Mask (in case I have to enter a building with a mask mandate) Towels Driveway Markers (used as alignment sticks) Pencils A ton of plastic tees ~12 golf balls Glove Torque Wrench for woods Rangefinder PitchFix tool w/ball marker Athletic Tape
  23. No questions, but I've worked some with one of their tour van fitters at the location near me and they have a quality setup (GCQuad and ample shaft/club options). I think if the fitter is decent you will have an enjoyable experience.
  24. I picked up some very lightly used Srixon Z965's with TI X100's for $350 on ebay and am very happy with the price and conditions (nearly new looking).
